I grew up having pizza from the original Boudinot Avenue LaRosas shop in the sixties. LaRosa's, Pasquale's, and maybe a few other mom and pop shops we're the only ones around.
This was my first visit to the Loveland LaRosas, and I was impressed with the restaurant itself. And the kitchen was huge but there was so little business that it seemed all the kitchen employees did was play around.
Our server was Leah, and she was excellent, friendly and prompt.
The inside of the restaurant was beautiful, clean, and much bigger than I would have expected, so that brings me to one thing, the pizza.
We had a buddy's choice which is featured on the cover of the menu and we asked for additional onion.
This was an eight slice pizza, and when I bit into it the first thing I said was, "I could eat this everyday." I thought the sauce was a little bit too sweet, and I did not taste any onion or or even pepperoni even though I saw it was on there. The thin crust was excellent!
I dinged the place because the bill, for what I would call a medium Pizza, was $17 and some change. there was no way I could eat this every day, there was no way I could eat it every week at that price. And we drink water so they only charge was for the pizza.
I first rated this location three and then changed my mind based on the facility and the service. I think if I had it again I would either forgo the pizza sauce and maybe just...
Read moreHad an order that we placed with them at 12:30pm for a 5:30pm pick-up. We ordered early knowing there was a parade that day and that they would be busy. Pulled up to the new drive through and gave them our name to get our order, was told it would be just a minute, no worries at this point we were there a couple minutes early. Then after our scheduled pick up time, we were told to move to a parking spot because our order wasn't ready. Mind you that after we moved, another car pulled up to the window and their food was brought out immediately. This is where I decide to go inside to figure out what is going on with our order. Walked in and stood at the front counter for five minutes before someone even acknowledged I was there. Then I was told that there was a parade (obviously, that's why we ordered at noon) and that orders are given out in precedence that the order was placed. There is a chance that, the other lady ordered before us but I highly doubt it. On top of that if the parade pizzas were of more precedent than everyone else's, regardless of order time, how did the other lady get her food and not get asked to pull off to the side like me. No, all of these were excuses for poor management and poor planning. Will never give them my business again and will definitely tell people to...
Read moreBEWARE! A coworker and I eat at the Loveland location at least once a month and have for years. Today the food was good as always. Time to pay was not so good. We had separate checks and both paid with debt cards. Upon review, they had charged my friend for both meals and gave me a bill for mine. My friend pointed it out. The server took it to be corrected, but couldn't explain how it was corrected. The manager, Joe, came over and supplies the transaction info as requested. We were satisfied and left. We ate both nurses, our employer pays a bonus for a pay period if you aren't late. Of course, we were 2 minutes late so that lunch cost my friend $80 and myself $64 extra. I called c/s cooperate and they gave $5 credit to each of us for our next visit. REALLY! I expected lunch at least and would have been happy. C/s rep, Rebecca, acted like they had done us a favor or something as her tone changed and said it all. So, we won't be back to any Larosa location. Their error cost us. Most expensive...
