Heritage Farm Ice Cream & Pizza — Restaurant in Lowell

first of all, I would recommend H.F.I.C .I have been in Massachusetts for close to 5years now and I looove their service and ice cream.

Now I went there today and there was this young fella who I beleive is either still on training or just got off training. He took my orders and I handed him my card, he seemed not sure whether to swipe it and insert it so he asked his co worker and she went" how old are you?" he said he's 16. The coworker(with an ignorant shrug)" not everyone's card has a chip on their card. He swiped the card and handed it over to me and I could tell he was very embarrassed but I said this to him" we all start from somewhere, you're learning and you'll be okay don't worry".

So she made our icecream and handed them over (I made 5 orders total 3 icecreams and 2 frappes) . While waiting for our frappes she opened the window and asked if we're still waiting for something else and the boy walked over and acknowledged that we're waiting for our frappes. She went off on him again, this time yelling at him " listen you don't take more orders without making the first ones first".

my heart broke for him so she started to tell me that our orders will be up in a sec and I said to her " please be patient with him you started from somewhere as well, let him learn" . She banged the window on my face.

See that didn't bother me because I have seen worse but I know this place for better customer service. Me seeing someone being humiliated like that felt really wrong and I hope you guys can fix...

When I was a little girl, my father used to bring me here all the time. Now, I get to bring my daughter here. I brought my daughter here for the first time yesterday and we had a blast. It has been quite a few years since I have been here because I have since moved out of state. However, despite my absence, it is wonderful to see they still have all of their amazing food and Ice cream.

I had never had a lobster roll before, but I really really wanted to have one. Their sign on the side of the business really had me thinking it was time to break down and just try it already! I explained that to my cashier and I was shocked when she actually let me try a sample for free. I was so grateful for this. I was terrified that lobster and mayo would be horrid but it was amazing! I was SOLD! THANK YOU so much for letting me try a taste. I ate every bite it was so amazing!

Afterwards, we wanted ice cream. My daughter, (only 3) wanted blue ice cream. Luckily they had cotton candy ice cream which is blue and pink YAY! 3 yr old logic liking things to eat based on color instead of how it might taste. Again, she let my daughter try a spoon full to see if she would like it and it was another hit! Such an amazing time. LOVELY staff and still after all these years a BEAUTIFULLY maintained building inside and out. Thank you and keep up...

If you are coming here for ice cream, you will not be disappointed. They have excellent ice cream with lots of flavors and ice cream treats to choose from, even soft serve. If you are coming for food, and you eat gluten free, they only have GF rolls. However, the staff was not very attentive and served me a wheat roll which I had to return. The supervisor switched to a GF roll, however the roll was stale on the bottom, not sure how they store their rolls. Perhaps they don't get many GF patrons. I got a lobster roll and coleslaw and potato chips and aside from the stale roll, it was good. They have burgers and chicken sandwiches, deli sandwiches, etc. I would be willing to try visiting again for food, definitely for ice cream. They have a great location overlooking the Merrimack and are directly across from an esplanade. Plenty of parking, eat in or outside. They even have a room upstairs and a roof top deck...
