Kim’s Donuts — Restaurant in Lowell

Kim’s Donuts are the best! Not only are their donuts delicious, their customer service is spectacular and what one would hope for and expect in a local, family run business. After two unsuccessful attempts from other shops to get donuts made and delivered to my mother’s assisted living complex in Dracut, my sister suggested I try Kim’s Donuts in Lowell. The woman on the phone could not have been more accommodating and pleasant. They typically don’t deliver but when I explained it was my mother’s 90th birthday and I lived far away, she told me to hold on a moment. When she came back she said her brother would deliver the donuts (even though it was early on a Sunday morning-their busiest time!) I also asked if she could write happy birthday on one of the donuts. Not only did they write the message but did it on a giant birthday cake sized donut! What a special and pleasant surprise! Needless to say, the residents at the Arbors in Dracut were thrilled and delighted to have these wonderful donuts for breakfast yesterday morning. I can’t thank Kim’s Donuts enough! Someone gave me to try a white glaze with peanuts and it didnt taste tasty and fun. biting into the donut i got a strange flavor of the frosty going from sweet and like its ok to a cold taste that is like medicine trying to be frosting and didnt blend right with the peanuts. The donut itself is fluffy but i get a pure flavor of dough. Also tried another glaze looking donut with what seemed like butter crumble and i couldnt taste the crumble and again with the pure dough flavor. Walked in to buy some donuts for my family but didn't expect to be disrespected because of my size. The owner had made a distasteful comment about my size in khmer and probably thought I didn't understand it. Both the owner and employee seemed like they didn't want to be there. The owner was complaining in khmer the whole time. Didnt feel welcomed at all. I ended up ordering a dozen donuts to support them but I wish I hadn't. Hopefully no one else is treated like this.
