La Diferencia Restaurant — Restaurant in Lowell

This is truly a locals restaurant and if you don't go you are missing out. It seems most of their customers eat off of the prepared line. Being out of towners we asked for menus. The only person there didn't speak much English and couldn't find any menus. We were just about ready to leave when the owner/chef came in from making a delivery. He got us the menus and we started making selections. Turns out not everything on the menu is available every day. I ended up getting a Cuban sandwich and tostones. It was probably one of the best Cubans I have ever had. Meat was perfect, flavors were on point and the bread was fresh. Went in at 7 pm they close at 8 pm food display looked horrible took someone a few minutes to ask if I needed help. By then I was in mood to eat anything out of that display. If you are open to 8 pm then your display and food presentation should look good till 8 pm.
