Romeu & Juliett Cafe — Restaurant in Lowell

Unfortunately my first time going there was pretty lame, all 4 workers were unfriendly, seemed unknowledgeable of items and when I asked for creamer they didn’t have it. Ok. They had milk in the fridge, coffee wasn’t hot anymore, perhaps they were so busy that they didn’t have time to make new coffee, hum! In a bakery coffee wasn’t prioritized. Then I accepted cold milk, the worker offered to warm up my coffee on the MICROWAVE. Argh!! I was astounded with the offer. I said no and accepted cold milk, it was terrible I asked to warm up the milk then, because in Brazilian bakeries, milk is also served boiled hot, they were out it was out there all day. The worker warmed up in the microwave for a little bit and asked me if it was ok the few seconds that she did it. I had to say yes because she is the one behind the counter who is supposed to know what they are selling. It was still cold, but I had to move one I wasn’t going to get fresh coffee. Lastly I couldn’t drink that old coffee by the time I went to pay I gave it back and told them that it was old and wasn’t charged and was offered fresh coffee that...

Worst customer service I ordered a burger, I being charged for a complete different burger , of course my order came wrong. When I questioned about that the attendant said I ordered that, a burger that I don’t like eat After her preposition saying that I did the wrong ordered that was my mistake she offered to fix the order. The problem was ; I was in my lunch time , I waisted half of my break time just waiting for the order I wasn’t able to wait again for another burger By the way It’s not about money, I didn’t ask for my money back I was waiting parked in a giant 10 wheels truck It’s about respect and costumer service I waste my break time, and I threw away the burger The place have good food but this time o experience a bed costumer service By the way the burger that I got was disgusting Bread completely softened and wet As I said the burger went to trash I wast my break time, my money and...

Sorry to say we didn't have a good experience. Stale cake. Grumpy staff. Customers allowed to walk around without masks. Face mask on cashier that was below her top lip. Ham and cheese was a thick chunk of bread with a slice ham and cheese inside. Pastel was old! Pao de Quejo looked awful, burnt, and gross! $35 and low value in my opinion.

I can drive to Somerville or Malden for the same food and for $35 I could have went to Fogo de Chao for lunch with endless premium meats and endless buffet. Endless!

If you do go here, bring a weapon and watch where you step outside. Who knows if there are needles on the ground. And no, I'm not kidding! Lastly, I asked my Brazilian wife if anything I typed here was unreasonable, she said no. So there...
