As of October 2023, Hot Spot has had their hot pot menu open to the public for only a couple of weeks and it is absolutely delicious. My friends and I are huge on hot pot, and for reference, we always go to Boston for the usual Shabu Zen, Kaze, Ibasaw, and Hot Pot Buffet. In comparison, this restaurant is definitely worth missing that drive as the food is great.
Currently, they offer a hot pot bundle. For $22.50, you get a broth of your choice, a plate of meat, a side of variety vegetables, and a starch (rice/noodle). I’ve been there approximately 3 times in under 2 weeks and have had either just enough to eat or leftovers, so it is definitely worth my money! In addition to this bundle, they also offer plenty of sides you can add (from meatballs to seafood to tofu and so on).
Food can be good but what’s just as important is the service and staff. From all 3 my experiences there, the staff was very attentive, kind, patient, and extremely accommodating. They have treated me with such comfort each time I’ve gone which has made me want to go again… and again!
Aside from the hot pot, they also offer dishes and appetizers, such as pho, vermicelli, spring rolls, crab rangoons. Looking forward to try them all!

Read moreI recently visited Hot Spot Restaurant in Lowell with a group of friends, and our experience was delightful. We opted for hot pot, and I chose the mushroom miso broth which was rich and flavorful. To accompany my meal, I indulged in their Thai iced tea, which was refreshingly authentic, brewed with care rather than the cheap powdered variety often found elsewhere.
The service at Hot Spot was exemplary. The staff were not only friendly but also efficient, ensuring our needs were promptly met. Our waitress was particularly attentive, checking in on us regularly without being intrusive, enhancing our dining experience.
Overall, Hot Spot Restaurant exceeded my expectations with its delicious hot pot offerings, authentic Thai iced tea, and exceptional service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a satisfying and enjoyable dining...
Read moreI went to Hot Spot a few weeks ago, after many months of waiting for them to open (I live a street over, so this was impatience more than anything). I tried them out on a random weekday, and ordered chicken wings and fries. Honestly, Im pretty sure I also ordered an appetizer but I don’t remember what it was! The chicken wings, 10/10. I put in another order to go, they were that good. Perfectly seasoned, crispy, clearly fresh out of the oil they were fried- perfection. I plan to come back with a group of friends for their hot pot, and hope others in the community can support this business! While the location may not be the easiest, this place deserves a line outside of the door due to how much care they put into the food they make. You can...
