Stopped by today to get my one of my favorite Chinese dishes, the shredded chicken pan fried noodle.
Originally this place was Asian Express. Then it merged with China Tea House. For a good while the signage would say Asian Express but the menu cover would say China Tea House. I'm glad the confusion is finally behind us.
Anyway, the shredded chicken pan fried noodle I ordered did not disappoint. We also ordered Moo Shu Pork which came with 6 Chinese tortillas, hoisin sauce, and generous amount of proteins. It was very good. Today we somehow struck some luck as the owner gave us a complimentary order of sesame balls. All around we had a great experience today.
I reiterate my opinion which I continue to preach to my friends and colleagues: For whatever reason, this remains the only Chinese restaurant in the area where you can order some authentic Cantonese dishes. Ask for the hard-cover menu and order the dishes that have Chinese writing next to them. You should also come during the weekend when they offer dim sum menus. If you simply order from their all English takeout menu, then this establishment would be just another run of the mill, hole in the wall Chinese...

I called the restaurant to place a takeout order, and the person who answered sounded like I was bothering them just by calling. No greeting, no enthusiasm—just a flat "Yeah?" like I was interrupting their day.
When I tried to ask a question about the menu, I was cut off mid-sentence and told to “check online.” I understand they might be busy, but basic courtesy shouldn't be optional.
If the staff can't even handle a simple phone call professionally, it doesn't inspire much confidence in the rest of the experience. Won’t be calling again.
Very rude...
Read moreSome of the best best Chinese takeout in the area. We live nearby and this place is always the best bet for good Chinese. We have found the service to be decent, but not friendly. Very businesslike, which is fine from the type of establishment. Prices are reasonable and the different dishes we have had have always been of good quality and flavor. We think they have the best wonton soup in the greater Harrisburg area. They are located in a small strip mall with parking out front. Limited seating inside, always looks clean whenever we enter. Overall, highly recommend...
