Mogie's Irish Pub — Restaurant in Lower Burrell

I really don't like to give bad reviews during these times. Businesses are operating on skeleton crews. And everyone wants what they want like yesterday. With that being said...this was my first experience at Mogies. And first impressions are unfortunately lasting impressions.

The place was crowded which would be expected for a Saturday evening. My friends arrived before I did and ordered their food before my arrival. When I did arrive they stated they had ordered their food 15 minutes prior. I placed my order...wings and fries. To everyone's surprise...my wings came out fairly quickly. However I waited another 15 minutes for my fries. Once I had my whole order...my friends still had not had their order. As I waited for the rest of the food to come out...hunger overcame me. I literally ate most of my order before everyone else's food started to arrive. How is that even possible? Did their orders get lost in the kitchen? At one point we noticed that people coming in after me were getting their food before my friends.

With that being said...the bartenders did give excellent customer service. Enough that I would go back. I would be leary of ordering food again though. And the food when it did arrive was very good and the portion size was respectable compared to the prices.

My guess is this place is hit or miss. Customer service is great. Food is good. But you won't know if you will be waiting for your food or if you will get fast...

I only gave 1 star as I couldn't leave blank. I went there with my wife and another couple tonight. Here is what I told the waitress. " I have to tell you this but I dont blame you at all, I know you are just serving the food but the owners should be ashamed for what was just served and the price that was charged ". We all decided to try this place tonight as it's been years since any if us have been here. We will not be back. The steak hoagie that was served was extremely small and on a burnt bun, my hamburger was a frozen pattie on a Syrian bun (paid extra) and had zero toppings and was 8.95. I paid another $2 to have cold fries and coleslaw. My friends meals were bad too. Everything was cold. We were all disgusted for what we payed and will...

Not a great experience. The hostess lied to me about something so that she didn't have to do it. I called back the next day and asked the same question and got a different answer from another girl there. I just wanted a to-go drink with my food, i was going to hapily pay for it, but she said they dont have drinks? Lol there's a bar there, cranberry, orange juice, ginger ale, 7up, coke, Pepsi.....im sure they had all of those. Lazy and disrespectful customer service. Will NEVER go back and do not recommend you waste your time...
