3 hours and 32 minutes. That’s how long it took for my food to arrive after ordering.
I swear to god I’ve never written a review in my life before now, but I can only make up so many excuses for the poor service, or lack thereof, that this store has to offer. If I not only continue to ignore this heinous lack of service, but also choose to remain silent rather than warn others, I would never be able to forgive myself.
Before I get into this, I want to be clear that I am not against Domino’s as a whole but only this one store on Lancaster Ave. in Bryn Mawr. Now I’ve been living here my entire life, and ordering Domino’s was something I’d done frequently growing up. I never had any issues or complaints all throughout my childhood. However, once my college years came and went, I soon realized this Domino’s was no longer the same one I left behind four years ago.
I almost always use the Domino’s app to place orders because, like the rest of this anxiety-riddled generation, I loath speaking to people over the phone. I remember one of the first times ordering from this store after moving back home, it took more than an hour to deliver. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because that’s when the covid-19 pandemic was getting bad in the US, and I don’t even think contactless delivery was an option.
A month goes by and I order again, same location, and similar results: more than an hour between order time and delivery. I stop ordering dominos for a while. The next time I order dominos was about 4 months later, and just like the last time, I waited more than an hour. For some reason I decided that it was just bad luck and there’s no way this could happen again, and so I let it go.
Today happened to be the next time I ordered Domino’s from Bryn Mawr, and now it will be my last. It also happens to be more than a year after the covid-19 pandemic was at its peak. Contactless delivery was now the only option, and I felt like this would be the time I break my bad luck streak. I placed the order at 7:51. The Domino’s tracker said it was being prepared. At 9:08, my order went from “being prepared” to “in the oven”. At 9:50 it was still “in the oven” so I called the store. After listening to the automated advertisements for a few minutes, I hear the disconnect tone. I call back immediately and someone answers. I ask for a status update and she says that my order won’t be out for delivery for about another 30 minutes. I thank her, hang up, and begin making my own dinner. At 10:41, my order left the store. The tracker says the driver may be dropping off a nearby order first. I don’t care anymore.
I placed my order at 7:51. It was delivered at 11:23. 3 hours and 32 minutes of waiting. I can only be willfully ignorant for so long, and tonight was the last straw. There is something fundamentally wrong with the Domino’s in Bryn Mawr. It’s not the same Domino’s I grew up knowing and loving. I don’t know and frankly don’t care if anybody reads these things, but if this review saves at least one person from the fate of this mismanaged establishment, then I’ll...
Read moreHorrible Store!!! I was really upset with this store and the store manager today. The store messed up my last order and voluntarily offer me a 50% discount for a future order to compensate that. Today I called in and the guy who is the current store manager seriously offended me with a horrible attitude. Over the phone, first he said he cannot honor this discount, and then he said I am trying to get free food from Domino's with a horrible attitude. Then suddenly he said he can still do this time but this is the LAST deal I get from Domino's, and I cannot get free food anymore. When did I ever get free food??? He sounded like I was trying shamelessly to get free food. All I claimed was what Domino's voluntarily offered me because they messed up my last order! When I tried to order with him, I asked for double steak, light cheese on my pizza then he said, in a extremely sarcastic way, now he understand why I got this discount. Of course something is messed up, this order is very complicated. I told him I am not doing anything wrong on my part. Domino's offers customers with the options to customize pizzas. They should be able to make the right pizza. He again sarcastically disagreed and said himself: Domino's does not promise anything. I will never order...
Read moreI placed an order for two large pizzas for pickup, unfortunately turned out to be a disappointing and incorrect rendition of what I had requested.
The order consisted of one pizza with sausage and pepperoni, and the other with pineapple and pepperoni. However, upon arriving home, I discovered that both pizzas were prepared incorrectly. One was an unexpected combination of pineapple and spinach, while the other seemed to feature a burned topping, which I can't accurately identify due to its charred state.
I have been a Domino's customer for a considerable amount of time and have ordered from various locations without encountering such a glaring issue. This experience from this location was undoubtedly the worst I have encountered, and it reflects poorly on the reputation of Domino's. Regrettably, my experience confirms the validity of those negative reviews.
Returning to the store to rectify the mistake is not feasible, as I live 25 minutes away and the error was clearly on the part of Domino's. Due to the substantial inconvenience caused by this error, I...
