This review is for Indian Hut. I'm sure they're expecting this review. Long story short, we ordered a Black Forest Cake for our child's first birthday. We also ordered some Samosas. Bear in mind that we ordered 2 weeks in advance. Whoever was on the other side of the phone confirmed our order. I went in to pick up our order just minutes before our guests arrived. Guess what? They had no record of the order. They all looked startled and I had to watch in horror as they asked one another if they knew about the order. Well, no one had a clue what I was talking about. My heart sank. I was so mad and disappointed that I couldn't think. I called my Wife to confirm that we had not picked it up and she confirmed my worst fear. Anyway, one of the guys offered to give me the cake on display. What an insult!!! I guess you'd do anything for the money huh? The cake on display? Really? I rejected it and walked out for 2 reasons: 1) I don't know how long you've had the cake on display. 2) No one felt it was reasonable to offer the slightest apology. No apologies. None! To make matters worse, I went back just yesterday January 31, 2018 to let them know how they almost ruined our Child's first birthday party, but the guy kept asking me if I paid for the order. Really? We called in, you were on speaker phone and I heard you confirm and act like you were taking notes. You said it would be ready for pick up and we'd pay when we picked it up. Now you're asking me if we paid? I at least expected an apology the second time around, but no way José! They're too proud to apologize to someone like me. Anyway, I'm still shaking from fury, but I'm glad we have a Wegmans in my area. I bought a great tasting cake there. You will NEVER see me or any of my friends or relatives there....
Read moreCame in before the dinner rush, but surprisingly there were no other customers at the time, which was a bit depressing for such a friendly place. The selection of toppings is just crazy, and they even let you change up the recommended pizzas, allowing me to swap out a topping I didn't like for something else. When a mistake was made with my order they were very accommodating with correcting it at no extra charge.
Pizza was ready quickly and there were no issues with it. A nice amount of spice kept it from tasting bland, and the ingredients tasted fresh. Though, if you have an appetite, I'd recommend the 12 inch instead of the 7, as the pizza is thin and not that filling if you chose few toppings. However, if you're on a diet, or have a small appetite, the 7 inch will probably be perfect. Larger sizes are available if you're looking to feed a whole family.
I haven't tried the sandwiches or salads, but my companion enjoyed his salad so they are at least decent.
Prices are what I'd expect from a made-to-order restaurant, being reasonable for the manpower needed and ingredients used. They might need to have someone wipe down the seats in addition to the tables though, as the booth seat had crumbs on it. But other than that everything was clean, and the decor was modern without feeling sterile or cold. (Like a certain nearby Wendy's...)
Overall, I enjoyed my meal and even ordered another pizza. I'll definitely be recommending this restaurant to my friends when they ask for Pizza...
Read moreWent here after I saw multiple facebook posts on how good the food looked and how friendly the staff appeared to be. I was the only person in line and upon asking to make my own salad the cashier looked at me like I had two heads. Another employee (young kid) then came over to help him. I had to repeat what I wanted on my salad twice. I got hardly any of the toppings I asked for. I asked for artichokes and got 3 leaf slivers of an artichoke, but I definitely paid for more than that as my salad which was extremely small costed $10. During the process of making my salad the person didn't use any utensils to scoop the items out of the bins. He used his hands and had dirt all over them. He had dirt caked underneath of his fingernails. When I say dirt, I mean he looked like a mechanic because there was so much grime. I almost couldn't believe it. I didn't want to embarrass the young kid so I took the salad but my salad went right in the trash. It seems like this place could have some potential if they train their employees on proper hygiene, offer them gloves, utensils to use, something. I could get a salad at Tosco's for $10 with way more on it and a way more cleanlier...
