New Hyderabad House — Restaurant in Lower Providence Township

I recently visited Pennsylvania with a few colleagues and we visited New Hyderabad House. We found it through google and thought why not try something new. The first thing I noticed, entering, was that the receptionist is quite welcoming and the interior decor was authentically south asian. I liked the fact it felt homey, almost felt like I was visiting my mother.

It was a blast introducing my co-workers to my culture and not to mention the food is halal. We ordered Chicken Dum Biryani, Double Ka Meetha, Paneer, Chicken 65 and a few other things. I totally recommend the Biryani with Dahi Ki Chatni.

Besides that, my vegetarian co-workers appreciated the desserts too. The manager visited while we were eating and can I just add, that the people running this restaurant are so damn humble? Seriously. Amazing restaurant, kind people, good...

The food and service was exceptional. It was our first time and took my parents there. We ordered the chicken tikka masala with garlic naan and Hyderabadi mutton dum biryani. The chef gave us a few additional appetizers on the house, along with dessert, which was really nice of them.

I’ve lived in New York and California and have dined at a lot of Desi restaurants and I’d have to say their chicken tikka masala was one of the best I’ve tried. The chicken was tender and their sauce was flavorful and creamy.

The staff was super friendly and respectful. Me and my parents had a really good experience and I’d recommend this place...

Food: 1 star. Probably the worst tasting biryani in the area. Both chicken and goat. Their dosas are awful too. Papdi chat was as basic as you get. At the end of the day when you have non Desi (in this case Mexican) workers making your customers biryanis and dosas, the end result will basically be what it was. ie food will simply not be nearly authentic

Service: Took nearly an hour to make a fairly small order. My chai cup was filled only half way which I saw after coming home.

Atmosphere: Trash everywhere. Tables not cleaned. Buffet table still not cleared even tho it seemed like it had...
