The decor was nice and parking was easy. Those had to have been the best things about this place.
Specialty (alcoholic) drinks were terrible. Overly sweet or not tasty with too much ice. You could tell they were made by an unexperienced bartender (or someone who wasnt very good).
The food came out within the 30-45mins we were there TOTAL (for 3 appetizers and 1 entree) so it clearly (I'll mention the other clues of this later) was a sign of precooked/ready made reheated food.
We ordered: Octopus appetizer Cheese Flambe appetizer Grilled Mahi Mahi appetizer Mediterranean Seafood Pasta
The octopus and mahi mahi were grilled to death. All I could taste was overwhelming smoke. The octopus was also overcooked. The mahi mahi was not overcooked but the over grilling made it taste too much like smoke so you couldnt enjoy the food much.
The cheese flambe wasnt flambed enough (of which I would have accepted had the other food been good...).
The pasta sauce was okay. The seafood in the pasta was fresh. But why were there both spaghetti and linguini pasta mixed all together like potluck in the dish? The pasta noodles used had different thicknesses so had different cook times. One was soggier than the other and was therefore inconsistent.
We told our waitress about the bad octopus (unfinished and was remarked on by another waitress cleaning our table). She then spoke to the kitchen and when she got back to us, said sorry but nothing can be done and that's it.
No resolution.
Mind you, we only mentioned the octopus because we werent looking to harp on everything. Only the dish that bothered us most. Had they done anything more than they did, we probably would have accepted it and moved on. But the lack of response (when there were also so many other problems) was just... unacceptable.
I havent had such a bad restaurant experience in a long time.
The lack of resolution or responsibility from the kitchen or restaurant just made it worse.
We couldn't wait to leave and we were glad to go.
Will not be coming back and will not recommend.
I'm originally from NYC and love good ethnic foods, whether it be a fancy date night or a cafeteria like place.
It was a fancy date night fail for which I'm even...
Read moreWe have eaten here before and enjoyed ourselves. The former Manager was always around and making sure the patrons were being taken care of! Feels like management has changed! We had an 11:30 reservation on Mother's Day. When we arrived and counted 31 people cluttered around the waiting area we knew there was an issue. What was odd was that there were literally 7 empty tables in the restaurant! We went to the bar and ordered drinks. After asking 4 times we were finally seated at 12:05 - inside. Because we had two children with us we quickly ordered an appetizer that took 20 minutes to arrive. We sent it back it was so bad...meat was very dry and looked/tasted as though it was literally all end cuts. They did replace it in 5 minutes with a product that should have arrived earlier. We placed our order for the rest of our meal. To make a long story short, after waiting over an hour we asked for our check and left, most likely never to return again. There are probably 350+ places to eat within 20 miles of here and on a holiday like this, WITH RESERVATIONS, we were dismayed at such a horrible way to run a restaurant. They knew the level of business to expect because they had reservations!! If it was my place I'd have had someone walking around to let the customers know why there was a delay, maybe offering a drink or an appetizer as a sign of appreciation. My wife was visibly upset and wanted to just go home but we insisted on making her happy. We drove to The Melt at the Promenade mall, told them what we'd experienced, had a wonderful meal and ended the day on a pleasant note. Don't waste...
Read moreThis was the worst customer service experience me and my friends have ever had. We were there to celebrate 2 birthdays. Firstly, the waitress serving us was extremely rude and disrespectful. She brought out the wrong order and when she asked who ordered it, she made a comment "Are you really going to make me check?" when in reality, SHE was the one who brought the WRONG order. When we informed her it was not the food we ordered, she asked us if we wanted to keep the wrong order while the right order was being made. SHE DID NOT MENTION THAT WE WILL GET CHARGED FOR IT. When we asked another staff member whether we would be charged for the wrong order, he politely confirmed we wont. If a server makes a mistake, it is common courtesy to first apologize and then when asking if we wanted to still keep the wrong order, LET US KNOW THAT WE WOULD BE STILL CHARGED FOR IT, which the waitress did not do and we were charged for it. It then became a huge issue because we kept the wrong order and they started pointing fingers at one another on whose fault it was. They did eventually take it off our bill after making a huge deal. Secondly, since we had two birthdays in our group, we mentioned it to her and she told us they can get bday desserts for free at the end. SHE STILL CHARGED US FOR THE DESSERTS. After all of this, the assistant manager did not apologize or try and communicate with us about the confusion. We definitely did not expect such a rude treatment from them and would not recommend going there unless you would like your night to be ruined.
EDIT: we contacted the manager this afternoon and he was apologetic and will be...
