I have eaten numerous times to the point that the map app on my iPhone suggests the directions to Arandas on Saturday around lunch time. I can honestly say I always leave here pleasantly satisfied. This is a refreshing break from the diluted Tex-Mexican restaurants around here. With the soft Tejano music playing in the background, the Spanish speaking waiters and delicious food this place exudes authenticity. Allow me to go more into depth about the food, I personally like the burritos, there are a variety of different meats. My top three favorites in order are the following; Carne Asada, Tripas and the Carne Al Pastor. I usually get one of each and take some home. The tortilla is delightful, it holds all the generous portions of juicy meat and fresh toppings together quite well. Today in fact, I tried the Carne Asada Gordita, another menu item that I recommend. All around the menu items are fairly priced and quite affordable. Just makes me want to adopt a Mexican child and have this place cater for her Quinceanera so I can indulge...
Read moreI was pleasantly surprised by the food and prices. I went around 7 on a Sunday evening. I had my 3-year-old grandson with me and I was asked to bring home a burrito for my dad I'm not from Lubbock and was just randomly looking for a place that looked like it might have a decent burrito for my dad. This was the first place I came too that had a pickup window and was open. I really didn't want to get the kid our of the car again. We did go in to order and got 2 adult meals, a kids meal, chips, salsa and queso for about $30. It's rare that we are able to get much lately for less than $50. The food was great! My dad ended up with enchiladas not a burrito because I thought it looked better in the picture, I got street tacos and the little guy got a quesadilla and fries. They also then brought the food to the car so we could watch videos while we...
Read moreI really don't understand why people like this restaurant..Once you enter the restaurant you get a bad odor and the food was even worst. I ordered the enchiladas with red sauce. When I got it, it looked fresh but looks can be deceiving...The red sauce was horrible and had absolute no taste. The corn tortilla was still hard and was under cooked. I rather go to Nora's where their food is more better and appitising. Their burritos at Arandas are the same price as Nora's but smaller. Their Carne de cada (I don't know the full name) was the WORST! The tortilla was horrible and the Carne was disgusting, I actually gagged when I ate it. With Nora's you get the same price burrito that is more better with bigger portions. Don't take me to Arandas, I rather drive a few stores down to Nora's and give them the...
