Man love me some Buffalo wild wings been a wild one since I was 8 and ate there weekly after our air soft tournaments. But I really feel like I have to write about my experience last night.
Preface: I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for 10 years. Served, bussed, hosted, cooked.
We were sat at a hightop next the bar and waited 15 min and was not greeted. Saw a line of servers on the chilling on the wall. We moved to the bar thinking there would be faster service but waited an additional 6 min. No big deal i could tell the bartenders were helping others. Again, not trying to bash at all but we were hungry after a long day of work. And a simple greet with a drink order can be done by anyone.
Ordered 10 wings and gave the Bird Dawg a try with a side of wedges. When everything came I stopped the food runner and said wait we didn’t order small wedges. They said we only sell a small and a large. Bartender we ordered from didn’t mention anything when we said medium. It was a sad helping of wedges. To my surprise the bird dawg with a side of reaper was actually pretty good! The wings were good too until my gf found a large wing and she handed it to me to try. I bit into it and found bloody meat in it and meat was slightly pink more pink than Id deem safe. No big deal Ive worked with deep frying wings should have known the larger wing would not have cooked in the 5 min the others do and so should the person who attempted to cook it. Another bartender came to check on us and we ordered another small wedges since we devoured the first measly helping in 2 min.
Waited patiently and finally flagged the bartender after 15 min to ask where the wedges are and they said “Oh im sorry I forgot to put the order in. Do you still want them”. I said “as long as they’re free because we’ve been waiting”. They chuckled and said “So you dont want them.” I was baffled to be honest. They admitted they made a mistake and refused to get the wedges for us to rectify their mistake. Told them no and asked for the check. They saw the raw bloodied wing on the tray and said “Oh wow thats a lot of blood”. I said yeah its a big wing and its raw. He brought the check and surprisingly not a cent was considered to fix either the forgotten wedges or the raw wing.
I get this is no Eddie V’s but it was Inconsiderate and poor service. Still luv B dubs but maybe...
Read moreI’ve never experienced such blatant discrimination in my life. Tonight at Buffalo Wild Wings on 82nd Street in Lubbock, the manager refused to serve our group food or drinks and threatened to call the police on us, simply for being Hispanic and celebrating a birthday while talking and laughing about basketball during an NBA game. The place was already loud, like any sports bar, but somehow we were the ones singled out. I don’t even drink, and I told the officer I was the designated driver. I even offered to take a sobriety test on the spot to prove I was completely sober and responsible. Still, the manager wouldn’t let me or anyone in our group speak without constantly cutting us off, trying to escalate the situation. Honestly, between us, it was clear she wasn’t the most educated or professional person to be handling anything. The officer who responded confirmed we had done absolutely nothing wrong and mentioned this manager has a history of this kind of behavior—especially toward Hispanics. He reassured us that we were fine to leave and said he’d personally speak with her. This was humiliating, infuriating, and deeply disappointing. I work in the medical field to help others, and yet we were treated like criminals for simply celebrating a birthday. Buffalo Wild Wings needs to take real action, because no one should ever be racially profiled, disrespected, or denied service based on...
Read moreWe have always enjoyed BWW (on 19th) but others chose the newest one on 82nd.. Well tonight's service was very unpleasant, I have been to this establishment before but the experience has never been like it was tonight.. We arrived and told them we had a party of 12, we were immediately told it would be a while.. I observed 3 empty tables that could seat 8, and told them we don't mind splitting up into 2 tables, then I was told that they wouldn't be able to do that.. I have no idea why they wouldn't be able to accommodate the request.. So we wait and then are told they will be moving tables in another area for us... ok.... well we get seated and order our drinks then of course our meals... Well food is starting to be delivered and the waitress told me that all the food wouldn't be delivered at the same time because they want it to be nice and hot (I'm ok with that).. Well I noticed everyone has their food but my self and girlfriend.. So we wait being understanding, until the waitress tells us the cook informed her that he's already made our order but she believes they gave it to someone else, and that's she's sorry but she has them making it right now... ok again we are being understanding, she bring our order out 20 min later and says SORRY ACCIDENTS HAPPEN!!! that's when I get upset and reassured her that management needs to do a better job with their hospitality and...
