Went there today and paid the premium price since it was Wednesday and their main feature is Snow Crab Legs. Crab legs were bland, tasted like nothing, my server noticed the disappointment in my face and voice so I told him about it and he said "We'll most likely they're rushing it and that's why it taste like nothing". He was calm and generous, he knew we were regulars. Now when I say it tasted like nothing, it didn't even taste like crab, it tasted like the plain water they boiled it in. It didn't even smell like crab. So I waited there for about an hour, then some crab came out, I got some, went back to the table. Bland.. Waited another 20 minutes, got one, tasted it right at the stand and it tasted good. So i got some more, happily went to my table, cracked open the next one. Bland...
I went to the hostess and told her, I ate nothing at all for the past hour and half I was there and I paid the premium price that I should atleast get some good quality crab. She told me there's nothing she could do and that it's a buffet, if I didn't like the crab I should have gotten something else. Then why the hell would I pay a premium if I can't have what's on the menu. That's like going to a steakhouse, paying for a good ol steak and they give you chicken instead. Unbelieveable. I've been there alot and I think today was my last. Not like it matters, they obviously don't care about me. I spent almost $40 and ate nothing but drank water. I can drink water for free! Do...
Read moreHorrible experience. The Worst I have ever experienced. Never will we return. First of all, the place is not upkept. How do you expect to make your business appealing or want people to try your food when counters are being held by tape? The carpet was dirty. The chairs were worn out. Then, our waiter didn't even wait on us. We had to get up several times to get our own napkins, refill our own drinks, & had to ask a different waiter to take our plates. When we asked our waiter for assistance , he simply replied "sorry, I am busy", as he continued to set up other empty tables. Well, if it weren't for customers, the employees would have no job so tending to the customers should be a priority. That's not the worst of it. The food was not the best tasting & come to find out it made us sick. We got food poisoning from here. Shortly after we left, I developed symptoms that lasted until the next night. Both my children suffered from nausea, vomiting, diarrhea as well. That of which I had to pull my son out from school early because of this. I brought this to the owners attention the next day & all she could say was "sorry, there's nothing I can do." When we asked to speak to a boss above her or a number to complain to, all she stated was "I am the boss." Soo, she didn't seem to be concerned at all or attempted to be of any assistance. I pray No one else gets sick & May this place get looked...
Read moreOur Hayashi Buffett experience Friday, January 20th: Our wait time from arrival to seating was about 10 min. My husband and I got the "mongolian" style stir fry, that was really good. Our buffet sushi was a tad disappointing, the rice was really gummy. The pan fried dumplings were dry, but had good flavor after I dipped them in soy sauce. The butterflied fried shrimp was delicious. Unfortunately, by this point they ran out of sweet tea. The sauce in the Sesame chicken reminded me of Jimmy Dean Sausage. However, I like Jimmy Dean Sausage, so it was good to me. The Jalapeño Chicken tasted just like it sounds, which I liked the kicked. The General Tso chicken tasted more like Orange chicken. I love mushrooms, but that mushroom dish was bland, not bad, just bland. The beef egg roll was pretty good. I had the rice noodles fresh from the kitchen. Sadly, those too, were bland. I'm not a frequent deserts person, but my husband is. He found the deserts average for a buffet. Our server was fairly attentive. He was quick to get us an alternative when they ran out of sweet tea.
Overall, it was an average buffet experience for us (a seating of four). The "mongolian" style stir fry was the best dish of the evening. Full experience was a 3 out of 5, about average. Price for this experience, was a 2 out of 5. It's as pricey...
