Grew up on Dutch bros because Iām from oregon so Iām used to the overly friendly staff and fun community.
I neverrrr get dutch bros anymore because Iāve been on a diet and have a coffee maker at home. Well my 21st birthday was today. I have been looking forward to my birthday dutch for at least a month now. It was a let down.
Girl came up and didnāt sound very happy. I told her it was my birthday and she asked me if I had the app. I donāt. Last time I had it in oregon they still had punch cards. And I donāt go enough so I didnāt know. She seemed hesitant for some reason and asked for my ID. I guess thatās normal to make sure Iām not faking. But even after that it was weird. She said she wrote it in the notes but she wanted me to get the app while I waited. Honestly kind of rude. She barely said anything about to me and it just seemed like she was upset at me for having a birthday
I started to download it but I have a Samsung so it took a while to download and I was still setting up my accounts when I got up to the window. The girl told me it was gonna be $5 and I explained it was my birthday amd the other girl checked my id and told me to download the app so I was still filling out my stuff. She just watched me and it took forever and then it closed out and it was just a mess so my husband told me to just pay for it while she stood and watched me. She ended up going back and taking it off because she could tell I was upset. And on top of that my drink was iced not blended like I asked š I didnāt say anything because I didnāt want to cause more trouble
But no happy birthday, no happy attitude or atmosphere. Just awkward tension for no reason. Asked my husband if it was just me and he said he was not at all happy with the customer service either and we wonāt be going back to this location.
Doesnāt resemble dutch bros....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFinal edit: I called the main office and learned they do not make their sodas in house, the pour then from a can. This is incredibly disappointing to learn. For one, they fill the cup with ice to hide the fact that a 30 oz large is actual only 16 oz of liquid (the same as a medium cup sans ice), but also, this means they are wasting a can as well as the plastic cup. I mean, give me just the can then, at least I can recycle that, here in Lubbock we can't recycle the cups (we can't recycle pete 5, only 1 and 2)! The more I learn about this company the more disappointed I become.
Added edit: when ordering easy ice, in addition to less ice, you also get less product. The liquid line is about an inch and a half from the top of the cup. But they sure did go easy ice this time... I don't know if this is a DB standard or just my location but management may want to seriously consider some retraining.
So much focus on drive-thru they tend to miss people standing in line. And once they do notice, drinks take almost as long as if one was sitting in drive-thru behind ten cars. There were only two of us standing in line.
Moral of the story, this place is not fast in the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWorst experience I have ever had at Dutch Bros. The guy working had no personality, he didnāt try to make small talk or even smile. It was clear that our order was just an inconvenience to him. He was far more worried about talking with the female employee working with him. He didnāt scan my Dutch Pass and when we asked him about it he said ātoo late, that has to be done before you pay.ā Knowing good and well he didnāt ask us for it to begin with. I donāt work at Dutch Bros, so how am I expected to know how their systems work. Then to top it off, my drinks were made incorrectly. $16 wasted. I know better than to ever visit this location again. Especially considering the exceptional service I have received at the competitor...
