HubCity Burger Bar — Restaurant in Lubbock

Did a quick search when in Lubbock & "best food near me" gave us this place. We all (3 of us) ordered a burger and split a loaded fries and 2 small drinks. Total was over $42. Loaded fries were awful. For $7 you get a handful of fries doused in cold nacho cheese & some form of "meat". The "meat" was dry, tough, very old & so salty it was nearly inedible. I think between the three of us we are about 1/4 of the order (and it was small). It looked fancy but was awful.

Burgers... We each got a cheeseburger ($10 each). Two came out with meat spilling over the bun however mine - the patty barely took up 3/4 of the bun. The meat was very overcooked and my $10 burger was literally 4 bites. Smaller than a quarter pounder from McDonald's. Again, doused in salt. A little slice of tomato & piece of lettuce. This was at most a $5 burger.

Photos were misleading! Food is half the size of the photos! Burgers were the size of McDonald’s burgers, just tall! Fries were cold and stale! We were told there would be a lot of fries and for $5, we were lied too and robbed ! Chips and salsa were stale and nasty! There are no combos on their menu and it should never cost u almost $50 for two small burgers, two cold small orders of fries and two 12 oz drinks! Nope. We went on our lunch hour and waited 45 minutes for 3 burgers! And the place was not crowded, only two other small parties ahead of us. It took so long we had to change our order to go. My father who had a funeral to attend at 1:30 did not have time to eat before that event. The burger was fine but not 45 minutes fine ; it wasn’t gourmet.
