Jack 'N' Jill Donuts — Restaurant in Lubbock

my husband picked up a dozen donuts on friday around 11:30am, he requested chocolate and chocolate with nuts. they told him they were out but could make some "really quick" for him. turns out they just dipped glazed in chocolate/choc and nuts. he didn't realize this until he got home, a 30 min drive from the store. the donuts were way too sweet to enjoy, i called the store to see if this was the new way they make chocolate covered donuts. the guy on the phone told me they only do that when they run out of the regular. i told him it would have been nice to know, we would have declined any donuts (but i'm sure they knew this) he was apologetic and told me to come back sunday or monday for a fresh dozen. we made the drive today, arrived around 10:30am, and they told us they were completely out of everything.. no offer to make fresh donuts or anything. just told "come back tomorrow" again, what a joke. why advertise that you're open until 1pm when you're not even going to make fresh donuts if you sell out before then? revised hours and revised practices would greatly benefit this business. i hate leaving bad reviews, just thought you should be aware the quality you'll receive if you visit this...

This is my family's favorite place in town to get donuts. The kaloches are fantastic, as they use bread with a croissant type consistency and the cheese-filled franks in them are thick and fresh, and don't usually taste like they've been sitting around getting rubbery like some other places in town. Their selection of donuts is also the best in town that I've found, as they have quite a few specialty donuts. My favorite is the Canadian maple with bacon and my son loves the spider donut (frosted with painted legs, a donut hole in the middle, and eyeballs). They also are super friendly here, which is nice to see, cause it seems like most donut shop owners/employees around here always seem put out with customers for no apparent reason. Glad to finally have a donut shop like this that values quality...

I try to go there every morning before work, and their kolaches seem to get worst every week almost like they have been sitting overnight or something! I love the place but I think I will spend my money somewhere else... update I tried the place again because it’s so close to work.. the last 3 mornings they only have the jalapeño kolaches which I prefer the regular.. this place has a amazing location but I think they need...
