McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Lubbock

This used to be a wonderful place to eat good food and great value. Ate here today for first time since they remodeled and majority of employees where rude and ignored customers. One young lady at register was kind of standing around like didnt know what to do. Found out from listening that she had convinced the guy that was there to switch with her as didnt want to do her job problem is she wasnt doing his either. The soup was so cold it could of been in fridge right before we got it. they did not give full order to us either but had to go back to get side that came with ordered sandwhich. Guy at register refused to see to me when told him i had not gotten full order. Instead an Older lady that was in back came out having overheard what i told him and took care of me. while he just messed with the money for his register which could of easily been taken care of after had seen to what i needed as I was the only unserved customer in the building. Calling an order in for pick up is horrible! They have switched over to a call center to take their orders for them. They incorrectly told me they didn’t carry sun chips even after I insisted that they did. They do still have them, so I had to switch them out at the store. The call center woman was very hard to understand, and I kept having to repeat my self to her! The last time I tried calling in the order the call center didn’t even send my order in, so I had to order there and wait twice as long!! So, if I am going to call in an order to someone who is ordering online for me , then I’m going to cut out the middle man and order it online myself so it will be right and be done in half the time!!! I’ve come here about three times and each time I came something always ends up wrong . The first time I came , I ordered a sandwich and then a desert but they almost didn’t give me my desert , I had to tell them that I had ordered one . The second time I came , I ordered a half sandwhich and half salad , only this time I did not get dressing for my salad . Today , I ordered a Spud Max , and a cheesecake , which I payed more to get strawberry topping on it . What happened was that the baked potato did not have all the toppings they were supposed to have : the bacon , sour cream , green onions etc ..
