UPDATE: 20250301: If customer service is not important to you, this is the Sonic for you. Management does not change the expectations. Recent order, carhop appears with my order. REFUSES to hand it over to me so I can check it for accuracy until I pay for it first. Seriously! Would not hand it over. Finally, I give her the money and I ask for the order so I can check it. SHE THREW IT AT ME! Time has told me not to complain to the management at this location because it changes nothing! Most horrid Sonic location in Lubbock!! Time doesn't change that. Ever!!
This Sonic is minutes from my house but, about two years ago, I quit coming here because of the crappy customer service and they, quite often, could not get an order straight. Once, they even forgot about me and by the time I received the order, it was cold. Free, but cold. So I would drive two miles away to the next closest Sonic. I recently started working from home on Tuesdays through Thursdays and I didn't want to drive out of my way to get a breakfast burrito; otherwise, it would defeat the purpose of working from home. So, this week, I went back to this Sonic with great trepidation. They managed to get the three breakfast orders correct so I felt really brave today going for lunch. I ordered a burger, onion rings and a large strawberry lemonade. I received the burger, onion rings and some kind of pink DIET drink. Of course, Management's response is come back for a free drink some other time. Yes, like I will be going back there again.
20220428 It just does not get better with time or change in management. I placed an order online. Tried to use the app to check in and it just spins and spins. Finally call in. They come out telling me there is no order. I'd already paid! Asked for manager. She found the order. Finally, the order is brought out... and......
Read moreI come to this sonic frequently and most all the time I have good service and I'm pleased with everything. There are 2 things I would like to bring to your attention though. 1) I would like to give Jace a huge Thumbs Up, he always does a super job and always makes sure you have everything you need. 2) Today I visited this location and Tyra was my car hop. She brought my food and the total was $4.31. I gave her $20.01 she gave me my change in which I layed it on the console and gave her a dollar tip which I normally do. After I got back to work and picked up my change off the console I noticed that she had only gave me $15.00 and 2 nickels. So basically I was shorted 60 cents plus she got the $1 tip. I'm not one to complain a lot but maybe you could let her know to please give the correct change. I know I take part of the blame because I should have checked it, but sometimes when you're rushed and don't have much extra time we don't always think about that. Read moreI love this restaurant. But more and more they are letting this store run down. The other ones on the other side of town are the very beautiful nice ones. Especially with the inventory being on point. Over here they are always out,or is out of order or discontinued. I haven't been here in years. And today. I decided to bring all my children and grandkids to sonic for a simple ice cream cone. Something I grew up with when I was a boy. Just to find out they discontinued ice cream cones. No more different sizes and they have in 1 size for a certain price. Which is not right and not fare to the public. You took a child hood memory from the public. With out the public knowing. We would like the ice cream cones back. And they are not about the kids. Want my rating. You pretty much gotten sad on this side of town. We love sonic food and dessert. But this one store is starting to stop looking nice....
