Worth a trip across counties. On my first visit I tried the New Haven style with pepperoni, hamburg, olives, and sausage and onions. The pepperoni was amazing and the complimentary basil and spices added lots of flavor. The crust was thin and crunchy the way pizza is supposed to be.
I've also ordered the New York, Grandma, Chicago, Detroit, Sicilian, Bostonian, Montanara, Old Fashion New Haven, Bianca(white pizza), The Amazing Asian, and Springfield style. Most of their pizzas are prepared Old Fashion style, with the cheese on first, and the sauce on top.
The New York has a thin crust with puffy edges.
Grandma style is a pan cooked pie with a rich, crispy, and flavorful crust. It's very filling.
Sicilian is similar to Grandma but the crust is thicker and less rich.
The Bostonian is like a New York pizza with the cheese underneath the sauce. Having the cheese under the sauce brings out the oil and taste as it cooks, and having the toppings under the cheese gives it a unique texture.
Similar to the Bostonian is The Old Fashion, which has the cheese on the crust and the sauce on the cheese. When it cooks the oils are absorbed into the crust and they mix with the complimentary spices, creating a tasty glaze. The Old Fashion New Haven is amazing.
The Detroit deep dish can be likened to a thick slice of hearty Italian bread baked with cheese, sauce, and spices. The edge of the crust is crunchy while the inside is fresh and chewy. Pan-cooked with cheese in the crust, it's very satisfying.
The Springfield Style is my favorite of their non-Old Fashion pizzas; it has a bolder sauce and I hope it stays on the menu.
I'd rank their top 5 pizzas this way:
Old Fashion New Haven Springfield Grandma Montanara Sicilian
Casa's signature is complimentary herbs, quality ingredients, and consistency - every pizza I've had tastes fresh and like it was made from scratch. Best pizza in Western...
Read moreI tried Casa Pizza last summer after seeing the Grand Opening signs driving by a few times. Man am I glad I did. I have always been a fan of thin, NY style pizza, so this was perfect for me. This isnt your normal pizza shop pizza and you can tell from your first bite. It is packed full of flavor even in a basic cheese and pepperoni. When they brag about the cupping pepperoni, theres a reason, you get all of the flavor without all the grease. This not only tastes better but it preserves the pizza around the pepperonis quality. The focus on high quality ingredients and a standard of producing quality food, rather than fast is evident. And thats what sets Casa apart. Focusing on quality vs quantity. Theres things they could do for easy cash grabs, but theyve cut them out to focus on better quality and producing the pizza they want. This is a trend popping up in some of the best and fasting rising food joints in Western Ma, and helping Casa stand with them. Some of the specialty pizzas are awesome, the Italian Stallion, a unique meat loaded pie is amazing. The Amazing Asian, Chicken Wing Pizza are all awesome. The wings (bone in) come in a variety of flavors, all the ones we’ve tried have been great. Love the 14k gold. The wings are good sized and full of flavor with a good crisp. We havent tried much else aside from the pizza or wings, mostly because the pizza is so damn good, with so many toppings, its hard to try anything else. Added to the quality of the product, the ownership and staff is outstanding. Always engaging with the customers, listening to suggestions and taking the time to talk to people. You can tell they care about the product they are putting out and really want the customer to enjoy it. This is a great local shop, proving that deserves the growing reputation...
Read moreCasa Pizza is absolutely delicious, I would highly recommend them.
My boyfriend and I tried the Chicago "Deep Dish" with pepperoni. The pepperoni is stated to be a special pepperoni in their topping list, which I can attest was the best pepperoni I've tasted. The pizza had the perfect ratio of cheese to sauce, the sprinkle of what I believe was parmesan cheese was a nice touch in addition to the basil leaves. The pizza dough was soft and pillowy with a touch of crunch, the crust itself (edge of the pizza) has more of a crunch with the perfect amount of softness inside.
The Chicago Pizza from Casa is perfectly balanced, flavor-packed pizza. Each bite was as enjoyable as the last and I can't say I've ever had pizza I've enjoyed to this degree.
It's abundantly clear on the first bite that Casa is careful in selecting the ingredients they use, I have no doubts their pizzas are made with the utmost love and care.
In addition to their amazing pizza Casa has a quaint, friendly atmosphere that feels like a small, family Italian pizza place. I loved their checkered red and white table cloths, the family photos were heartwarming, and they even had a little sign that said "Family is Everything". While we waited for our pizzas we could see the owner and his son making pizzas in the kitchen.
This was our first time visiting, I can't wait to come back to try their other pizzas. 🤌
PS thank you to the front staff for their patience, even with my website research before visiting I still managed to be confused when we ordered (not Casa's fault, I'm just...
