BlueWaterSushi — Restaurant in Ludlow

Our third visit to Blue Water Sushi and it is still a delight to the palate. I remember when the building was a Portuguese market but it is clean, roomy, and airy. We had the chicken teryaki bento boxes with the miso soup, tea, and water. The portions were more than adequate and deliciously filling. Tea was just the right temperature. The six pieces of sushi, California Roll, were perfectly bite size and their Wasabi - well, I do like a rush! Chicken teryaki was cooked perfectly and served on a bed of well sauteed onions/sauce, and tucked into that area of the bento box there was broccoli done just right, carrots, and those tiny ears of corn. The accompanying rice was perfect and although not using the chop sticks easily able to fork up a perfect mouthful. Miso soup was, again, tasty and not overpowering. There were two pieces of goyaki and I enjoyed dipping into the thicker of the soy sauces (this soy sauce is in a clever serving container). Salad was a surprise - never had a green salad at a Japanese/Sushi restaurant but it refreshed the mouth (wasabi is awesome). Visited for the first time the other day for the 1$ sushi on Monday deal. I've been spoiled living in a place locally that has a multitude of Sushi available - And some very good sushi as well. I'd say this sushi was great, and definitely worth going back again soon. Service was quick, friendly, and had no complaints with the quality of the whole experience. It's a nice place inside - Airy and yet cozy at the same time. Will be back again and again.

Update - have been back MANY TIMES. It is, without a doubt, the best sushi in the area. The avocado bowl is fantastic. The special rolls are very good as well. By ways of regular sashimi and nigiri, Blue water has the best around. Food is always excellent, service is quick and friendly. When they're busy, they're BUSY, so sometimes service gets slow but what else can you expect when the house is full.

So, I never write restaurant reviews. I will for this place tho. My wife and I haves been regulars there from the day they opened over 20 years ago. Spent many thousands of dollars there over there..Was my favourite restaurant to eat at .. being a chef w/ multiple successful restaurants I know how to treat customers never mind one of you’re best customers. So the food is fantastic, but the wife (Helen)of the owner is a complete disgrace! She screwed me for “1$” knowing she did it.. I questioned her and she said it is what is. Even acknowledging she said there was an issue on they’re behalf. I’m not bashing the restaurant because it’s obviously delicious .. but the wife doesn’t treat her GREAT customers rite!
