Waffle House — Restaurant in Lumberton

Best Advice: if you want Waffle House in Lumberton go to the one by Ollies and Planet Fitness, thats your best bet! This whole chain has gone down the drain since covid in my opinion but this is probably the worst one yet. Absolutely disgusting, long wait times, plenty of staff but all walking around aimlessly like they have nothing to get in a hurry for. We ordered extra cheese on hashbrowns but one of the workers stole ours with the extra cheese for her own personal to go order after being told that it was not hers and we were given hashbrowns without the extra cheese and still charged for it. One of our plates had a hair in it because they have a bunch of men working in here with beards and no nets. Waitresses arent attentive to their tables at all. Awful experience, will never eat here again. The whole Waffle House chain is so bad these days most of the time I'd just save my time and pay the extra for IHOP to actually get some service but if you are trying to go to a waffle house in lumberton skip this one and go to the one by Ollie's and Planet Fitness, it may have a wait sometimes but it is by far the best one...

Our visit was terrible. It was uncomfortable & disappointing. Waffle Houses we have gone to have always been very friendly & serves good food. We have visited numerous Waffle Houses in a number of states in the past. We entered & No one waited on or acknowledge us for a good 5 minutes. We we're about to walk out when a young waitress who was restocking tables grabbed her order pad & I heard her told by an older very grumpy employee to not wait on us but to finish what she was doing. She did as she was told but after a couple more minutes as she restocked the next table she asked what we wanted to drink & she got it for us. She then asked the grumpy women if she should wait on us & was told no because people coming in now belong to another waitress. She went to that waitress to let her know our order had not yet been taken. I saw that waitressed looked over at us & heard her say she didn't want to wait on us so the young girl should go take our order. The food order was done wrong & was not up to Waffle House...

Okay. Yup at another waffle house. Got hungry while waiting for an appointment. No other customers. Service was quick. My one and ONLY complaint is that they had no coffee made. WAIT! Did he just say no coffee? Sure did. Is not coffee central to the eating of breakfast food? Surely not their fault. They were thinking that only weirdos drink coffee when the mercury sits above 100. Guess what. . . I love good hot coffee and do not care how hot it is outdoors. Ever been to a tire shop and have them run out of air? I have. So decided on an alternative. Orange juice. Cold and delicious. Probably better for me anyway. Got some kind of steak melt. Very good. If you wonder what happened at the aforementioned tire shop. . . A little weeping, wiped away tears and found another one close by. End of...
