I had the pleasure of joining the Tasty Tampa Bay Crew and the Saucy Queen to experience this exciting new restaurant. Let me tell you just walking through the doors was amazing. The decor is wonderful. I had to walk around to look at everything. From the artwork on the walls, to the creative and eye-catching chandeliers. Even the chairs have something to catch your attention. The staff was so friendly and attentive. Our server Dave was exceptional. He took care of our every need. There is plenty of seating and they even have a room that could be for private events or meetings. We started at the bar with a wonderful selection of beautifully crafted cocktails. They are all artfully presented, and the tastes were out of this world. I enjoyed them all. We started the experience with the House Margarita. It was sooooo goood. One of the best I've had in the area. Next was the Paloma - made with Patron Tequila, lime juice, and grapefruit soda. The taste was light and refreshing. Will definitely order it again. The Jolly Rancher was next and let me tell you it was so pretty and a dance party on the tongue. It was like drinking a jolly rancher and the cute butterfly gummies were the icing on the cake. A great drink for someone who likes a fruity drink. It was definitely my favorite. My husband enjoyed the Michelada, which is a beer and bloody Mary mix with all the garnishes. It was like the never-ending drink. He also enjoyed a Negro Modelo in their amazing Aluminum mugs. The mugs have a special gel in the bottom to keep them cold longer.
Now on to the food. EVERYTHING was so good. The chips and salsa (mild and hot are available), the guacamole made right at your table served alone or topped with shredded cheese, mango and pomegranates!! Both were amazing.
There was so much food, and I had a little of everything. OMG the flavors of the burritos, quesadillas, enchiladas and tacos were amazing, My favorites were the Tacos De Birria, Pina Rellena De Mariscos (seafood filled Pineapple), Michoacan (the big bowl - filled with steak, chicken, shrimp, chorizo and a special sauce), Costra Tacos (we had the Octopus) and the red beans ( I know it’s a side dish but they were so good. It was even served in its own home-made tortilla bowl). We were so happy full we didn't have any room for dessert so we will be back to try more dishes and the desserts. The menu has many items to choose from for small appetites and hungry groups. They also have a great Lunch menu, vegetarian options and a kid’s menu. You won't be disappointed. Definitely a 5...

Me and my roommate were looking for a mexican spot for a Saturday late lunch. Been wanting to try this place out for a minute and today was finally the day.
I was mostly interested in the decor and the vibes more than anything until I saw the menu. This menu was huge almost like Cheesecake Factory and they had everything and anything it was insane. A la carte orders of chile relleno to aguachiles to burritos like whaaaaatt!!!. Menu was a little overwhelming but honestly I was very excited about the amount of choices we had. We decided on seafood and I got La Torre de Mar and my roommate opted for the plasita de mar. It was so good I loved it so much her dish was full of shrimp and a mango pico de gallo but honestly the best part of her dish was the rice, mexican restaurants usually have this yellow rice but not on this one it was more of a fluffy fried rice almost it was so good. My dish was huge almost 36 dollars worth of seafood with lime and the black sauce it was so good and its sized for multiple people.
In the alcohol part I had a Cantarito Jalisco super good it comes with a mini don julio inside of it and the amazing flavor of Cantarito super amazing.
Service was amazing our server was very attentive he knew the whole menu and answered any questions we had including multiple check ups and never ending chips and salsa. Manager Jose also came by to check on us for a second providing more help on deciding what to order.
Very nice atmosphere with the inside lights and music it was really nice place to be, honestly a very refreshing version of what a “traditional” mexican restaurant usually looks like. Beautiful Bathrooms and a secondary area with more tables looks like an amazing place for a birthday celebration.
The only thing I could say I wasn’t very satisfied with it was the fact that the drinks menu didn’t have prices listed.
Honestly 10/10 need to come back to try more things in the menu.
Hopefully this helps you pick where to go eat...
Read moreI have been to many restaurants in town specially Mexican. I heard about this restaurant from many of my friends and decided to try with my girlfriend. I do have mixed reviews about it.
For being a new restaurant in town it definitely doesn’t really show that new restaurant vibe. The staff was pretty boring honestly and not that friendly, the server had no idea how to really engage with us and every question I asked he didn’t really know what to answer. I get it that he could be new, but not knowing the specials is really the basic thing you need to start.
All the food looked really good and presentable, but the salsa really didn’t have any taste. The queso was really good, pretty standard for Mexican places and we had the Molcajete, which also has no seasoning, after I added some salt it tasted great, so maybe just a final touch in the kitchen would make it 100 times better.
We order a special drink with tequila, but i asked to sub for the mescal instead, just a house mescal like the one they had on another drink and he charged me for this even tho would be an even exchange. I am a bartender and I know that wouldn’t cost more, so I was a little upset, but I told him that i didn’t need a refund, just wanted to let him know that it was wrong for him to do that.
Overall experience was ok, but for a 80$ tab for 2 people even sharing a meal, I feel like there are many better choices...
