The food is decent, but unless there is adult supervision, you'll be waiting longer than should be possible and things may be missing or simply not right, with your order.
We've been a couple of times now. It's usually been tasty, good food. Occasionally I have to question what's going on. We ordered delivery the first couple of times and then we went there for the first time recently. I like a good Gyro and theirs is decent. It's not the best I've ever had, but it's good.
We called.in and ordered 2 Gyros. We were told 15 minutes. That sounds right to me. We got there around dinner time, and never being there, and from the reviews, I expected there might be people there. Nope. Empty. 32 minutes later, I'm trying to figure out where my good is. One young lady walked out from the back, completely ignored us, and walked into what looked like their hang out room, on the side, from.what I could see.
We were standing in the front, waiting, and heard a lot.of high pitched giggling in the back. So I walked around to get a view of the kitchen area, and there were two young men. They both seemed lost. One was cooking and didn't seem to know where he was. The other kept picking up one or the other of the two tickets they had, and staring at it, before placing it back. I would have almost thought they were stoned.
I have been told by friends, since, that is the woman who apparently owns the place is there, it runs well and things are good. Apparently, if not, it's a hot mess.
I give it three stars, because the food had been decent. I wouldn't go as far as some of the reviews claiming it's all kinds of authentic and the best thing ever. Not in my...
Read moreWe came here for dinner tonight and you should come try this place! It is soooo good! Everything was super yummy, we got a 3 skewer plate with rice, and veggies for our 3 kids, 8,6, and 4 to share. There was so much food on the plate we still had leftovers and my 8 year old went back for seconds! My husband and I both got lamb gyros. He didn't want sauce on his, they accidentally put sauce on his, but caught their mistake before we did, and they gave us the messed up one to take home...so I got an extra one! Score for me! We also got French fries....again amazing! And the appetizers platter. I wanted the kids to taste some different foods. This was a great platter to try a little of everything and it was all good!
The best part was Yusuf (sorry if I miss spelled your name, even though you told me how to spell it. I have a horrible memory) he is the owners son, and helps his parents run the restaurant. He is so kind and personable. He alone was worth the trip there! Thank you so much for being so awesome and having such yummy food!
(The food was so good I forgot to take pictures of most of it before we dug in. Lol)
Oh and the mint tea, was some of the best tea we have had, and we drink...
Read moreI love supporting locally owned (non-chain) restaurants, and after the great reviews I had high hopes this place would be a favorite, but I gotta say, we were not impressed. We ordered the Kibeh, a lamb gyro, Oasis shwarma, a lamb greek salad, and a maamoul (cookie). The gyro & shwarma were good mainly bc of the sauce, the Kibeh was interesting, not nearly as flavorful as I expected, and the greek salad was the biggest disappointment. The salad was just iceberg lettuce, very little feta, and the greek dressing that came already on the salad tasted nothing like other greek dressings I've had. It had a very sweet taste. I had saved the salad for my lunch the next day not realizing it was already covered in dressing and basically the salad was ruined. I tried to eat the meat off of the salad but found a lot of gristle, and it just had no flavor. I haven't tried the maamoul yet but the menu said the desserts were made in-house, but the cookie (and an order of maamoul is just one small cookie) came in a commercial package. The staff was super nice and I hate to say I probably...
