This was our 1st time ordering from here and we ordered because we seen they had good reviews. But honestly it definitely was not worth the hype. We had calamari that was soggy and you can taste the freezer in it, it was not crunchy as if it had been fried and the marinara for the calamari had chunks of whole tomatoes in it which makes no sense because there's no way to pick up the tomatoes on the calamari. I will say the flavor of the marinara was good though. Our pizza was a plain pizza that was over cooked and had a bit of a burnt bottom. We also had garlic knots as well but they were pretty ok for the most part. Honestly i can't say that we will be ordering from here again, maybe it was just an off day for them. Also this was a delivery order not a diner in experience.

Scouting for the Pizza Hunters App, was one of the first customers to arrive on a Sunday. A good looking Plain Pizza just came out of the oven. A regular slice and Drink is $5.15. Good Size slice that was just your average slice. A good amount of cheese dominated the slice that did not have any sauce. Think it was more paste which does not appeal to me. The crust was ok. Good Slice that will fill your belly, but not advancing far in a Pizza Tournament. Which is fine, looks like they do well in the area. The restaurant is huge and can accommodate a large number of people. I would go back, the man at the counter was very nice and provided excellent customer service..would like to try some other slices to get a better handle on this pizzeria.

Dear Gencarellis, you lost a customer today. Customer service means everything! Coming from Brooklyn NY My husband and I been treated to some of the best Pizza anywhere. So when we moved to Lyndhurst a year and 1/2 ago we were on the search for decent Pizza. We settled on Gencarellis. It was not the best, but the best of the worst. We’ve ordered from here several times and even dined in for dinner. The service has always been acceptable and the food is usually hot and cheesy-certainly not flavorful. Today on the way to Shoprite I stopped in to order a personal Pizza. I was the only one waiting. There was a man at the counter working with pizza dough and one coming in from the kitchen, so I was seen. I decided to give it a few more seconds and picked up a menu since there is not one posted anywhere( another pet peeve) No one even acknowledged my presence. A “Hi, we’ll be right with you” would have gone a looong way. So- I replaced my menu and walked out. I ended up going to Shoprite and buying my own Pizza making supplies to make a homemade pizza. I will not be patronizing this establishment again. I’ll keep my money...

Ordered via Uber Eats. One of four dishes was incorrect. Agree with other reviewer, food was OK. Added grilled chicken onto ziti with vodka sauce. Grilled chicken was just dumped on top and the vodka sauce was too thick (not creamy) to be able to mix the chicken in, so I wound up eating dry grilled chicken (which was not great quality chicken either - it had that "woody" texture and I had to throw a few pieces away). The mozzarella sticks had too much batter and the side marinara sauce was very watery. The spaghetti with clam sauce had real clams but sadly I ordered red sauce and we were erroneously given white wine sauce (which I don't eat). The marinara sauce on the pasta combo was again, same as the dipping sauce for the mozzarella sticks, very watery & the entre itself was one dish with different noodles in three sections covered in burnt cheese. Not what I envisioned. So disappointed. Will not be ordering again. To be honest, we have been having a really hard time finding a good Italian food restaurant. Maybe it's because we are Italian and grew up with good...

My family had a nice dinner here. The service was very accommodating. The food was plentiful. My husband had the chicken Reale and I had the chicken Alfredo. We wound up switching plates as I found the Alfredo sauce to be very milky and creamy and not as cheesy it was more of a milk sauce than an Alfredo sauce to me. But the Reale was amazing. Very yummy. My son had lobster ravioli and loved them. My 6 year old opted for plain pizza and liked it (but she likes all pizza) this was our first time there but my mother and her husband label it as their favorite place and visit often. I'd go back for the bread and service alone. Lol. Just one bit of advice if you're not from the area.... My GPS took me past the entrance to the shopping plaza and once you do that it is very difficult to find a way in. The entrance down the road is a no right turn so I kturned to go to the other one and it was no left turn. I did it anyway. But if your GPS doesn't tell you to turn into the shopping plaza just do it anyway. The restaurant is by...
