Great place. Local institution. I am a strong personal supporter of their 3-taco combination plate. The chicken is typically delicious, though occasionally dry. The steak is typically well marinated - occasionally overly fatty or tough. I'm a fan of the sausage/chorizo. Once or twice I've gotten a chip of bone/plastic in the sausage, which is disconcerting, but it's so tasty that I was never deterred (and given the number of tacos I've eaten, it's still a rare occurrence). Yellow rice and pinto beans are standard sides and I've always enjoyed them. I do wish they had more vegetables in their dishes (aside from the basic shredded lettuce and the occasional other veggie dropped onto a plate). Cheese pupusas are a great little snack. They have a variety of soft drinks as well as (usually) horchata and a cashew juice or fruit juice. All in all, Tacos Lupita is a winning choice.
