Pollo Royal — Restaurant in Lynn

I’m embarrassed to say that I have been ordering here for years! Whenever I was sick this is where I would buy my chicken soup. On March 17, 2025, I called in a large order of food for myself and some coworkers. I walked into the restaurant was quickly greeted and the lady checked on my food and let me know it would be another 5 minutes. I sat down to wait and to get out of the way of the other entering customers. As I sat down, I looked on the floor and there was a cockroach staring back. I quickly interrupted the cashier and told her to cancel my order. She said mam it 56.00. I said oh no I’m not buying anything here you have roaches. As I got in my car, I saw that the cashier was holding a paper towel, and I opened the door and asked, “did you see it?” she said yes as she threw it away and said to me “yes but it wasn’t in the food.” Yuck! If there’s one roach especially in broad day light, there must be way more. Disgusting and disappointing.

Cuando me subí a mi auto, vi que la cajera sostenía una toalla de papel y abrí la puerta y le pregunté "¿la viste?", ella dijo que sí mientras la tiraba y me dijo "sí, pero no estaba en la comida". ¡Yuck! Si hay una cucaracha, especialmente a plena luz del día, debe haber muchas más. Repugnante y decepcionante.

Dok sam sjeo, pogledao sam u pod i vidio sam žohar koji je buljio u leđa. Brzo sam prekinuo blagajnicu i rekao joj da otkaže moju narudžbu. Rekla je da je mama u 56.00. Rekao sam, ne, ne kupujem ništa ovdje. Imaš žohare. Kad sam ušao u auto, vidio sam da blagajnica drži papirnati ubrus i otvorio sam vrata i pitao "jesi li ga vidio?" rekla je da dok ga je bacala i rekla mi: "Da, ali nije bilo u hrani." Bljak! Just received the my food, the order was almost right. They forgot to give us the soda. When called the woman said that " oh yes we got the soda because the order was made online". When asked if someone can drop it, I was told that she had to call here manager and will call me back in 5 minutes. That didn't happened, I waited 20 minutes later for her to say she can refund me back 2 dollar or I can pick it up in the morning? I spent $115.64 I also gave them a tip. When asked again if anyone an make a quick drop off, I was told that they are closed sorry, I went back online to confirm that and found that they have an hour left. I hate to write this, I have worked in customer service before and like everyone else I am not perfect, but I always right my wrongs even if I have to do...

I have been ordering from both the Lynn and Revere Locations for years now and the food has always been fresh and delicious. Lately, the Lynn location has been my go-to since it’s close to my office. My son loves the tacos, and I love their soup. The customer service is outstanding. The only issue I have ever had was my soup not being wrapped well as it usually is (per owner instruction) and it ended up spiling. I called as soon as I got home, and they told me I could come back for a replacement. I got the replacement and was satisfied. I’m surprised that there are any negative reviews on here. I can see where there could be a potential issue with a language barrier while placing an order, but my colleagues at work that only speak English go in on their own and get what they want. Don’t let negative reviews deter you from trying this gem of place. It is on the pricier end, but the food is worth it.

Puedo ver dónde podría haber un problema potencial con la barrera del idioma al hacer un pedido, pero mis colegas en el trabajo que solo hablan inglés entran por su cuenta y obtienen lo que quieren.
