Rollys Tavern on the Square — Restaurant in Lynn

Decided to go here for my Daughters after christening party and it was an absolute NIGHTMARE. I read over all these reviews and assumed it was a good place to go especially for parties but I dont even think it’s a good place to go in general. We were seated at these bar tables right next to the bar (There was quite a few people at the bar) and it was Just uncomfortable so we asked to move to the booth tables because no one was at them and we got attitude from the waiter that worked there because we wanted tables and not to sit near the bar. So we got the tables and we waited almost 30 mins for them to take our orders, I even went to the bathroom to find the waiter standing in the hall way towards the bathrooms on his phone and when he seen me he pretended he wasn’t, why are you on your phone when you should be taking our orders? We were waiting for 30 mins just to even order, finally we did order and the food didn’t come out for almost another 40 minutes to an hour, when my husband tried to asked the female blonde waitress for a refill she legit walked away from him and ignored him. TERRIBLE service lol, overall horrible hiring, we also did call to make reservations about the christening party so why wasn’t there more waiters or waitresses? You were well aware we were coming. I didn’t even bother ordering and ended up leaving with my two month daughter and her cake that I spent a lot of money on. I really wish I could go back in time and never even wasted my time in this place, my after christening party was ruined and it can’t be taken back. And I really don’t need their waiter making my family uncomfortable with his little laughs and smirks when one of my family members told him the service sucked because it did. Thanks Rollys for a HORRIBLE experience and ruining my daughters christening after party, like I said that can’t be taken back and I just wanted to enjoy it with my family but they also had a horrible time and thought the service was HORRENDOUS. I hope everyone sees my review and doesn’t even bother wasting their time at this place, you don’t want the experience I had and most likely with this place you’ll probably experience...

I LOVE THIS PLACE ANOTHER HIDDEN GEM IN LYNN!!

I usually love Jade Pacifica which is around the corner. Did someone came in said yeah I was just at rolly's tavern. I was like what is that. It's a cool bar sports bar around the corner.. never knew it was there.

So I tried it and I'm hooked!! The atmosphere, the drinks, the food is fantastic.. great sports bar and people..

Only one problem ALMOST NEVER ANY ENTERTAINMENT I LOVE ENTERTAINMENT!! So what we do is we start there and get great food and then we move on to entertainment.

A local tavern in the square, Rolly's has the authentic flavor of a neighborhood community establishment. The atmosphere says, 'We care!" The staff are friendly and attentive. They graciously hosted a celebration/memorial for my uncle who passed away a year ago. Uncle Dickie frequented Rolly's throughout the years. He also shared recipes, I believe, because their chicken & broccoli penne Alfredo was super close to Red's (Uncle Dickie). I highly recommend Rolly's Tavern on the Square if you need a friendly smile along with your delicious meal. Enjoy...
