I have NEVER in my life been treated so poorly by a staff member. I was driving from LA to OC and had to make an emergency restroom stop. I have a health condition. I am a single mom and my infant was asleep, I had to bring her in. I asked to use the restroom and was then belittled and embarrassed for over 5 minutes as the woman working the counter told me I could not use the bathroom. She told me I couldn’t go in because I had a child with me, and I said I’d hold her. She rudely asked if I had someone to help me with her and how was I going to hold her to which I responded “I’m a single mom. I don’t have anyone and I do it all the time.” She told me I couldn’t go in because I wasn’t a customer. I told her I would happily buy something after I used the bathroom and that I needed to go immediately as I have a health condition and I was just on the freeway and stopped here because it was the next exit. This went on for what felt like ages until she finally let me go to the bathroom. Once I came out I realized I didn’t have any cash so I asked where the nearest ATM was. She started yelling at me that “she knew it” and woke up my daughter. I was furious and embarrassed beyond belief. For her information the closest ATM is across the street, which I drove to, took money out of and gave the staff a $20 tip. This woman CONTINUED to yell at me after I tipped her telling me “I don’t understand business”. I did not want to further escalate the situation so I left but I believe she will see this review, so you know I have a masters in business so I have the understanding that treating people with basic decency is a better business practice than what your “establishment” has going on. I hope you have the day you deserve and that you learn from this experience to be less...
Read moreToday i wake up early, (Saturday) and i told my wife i want menudo, she agreed and since we are keeping eye on our grandkids, i said i will go over and buy some to bring home. this place i have been once and it was ok, despite the reviews (i didn't believe them all) any ways, i spent good money $47.00 and of course i got my pot almost full, after paid i told the lady i will be right back need to get the pot in the car and i will be back for the sodas and the rest of the stuff(chooped onions oregano etc) the normal if you are eating menudo either way is at home or in this place, you had to have all of that oh and tortillas of course. come on who doesn't. anyways came back for the rest of the stuff and i saw the sodas not the rest of the stuff and i asked (excuse me were is my chopped onions and the rest of the stuff) and the guy i guess the owner asnwered pissed and offended, "we dont give these" i said ok please sell me some i needed and his answers was no we dont sell. it is obvious that you have to get this items but if you spent a good amount of money on menudo you have to get all the ingredients. anyways my fault, even after reading the reviews we went there. and by the way the menudo to go is cold and the meat is hard, definitely i will double think about going back...
Read moreIt's very inconvenient if you bring your own pot. They only sell you the menudo. They will not sell you the tortillas, onions, cilantro, or any other condiments. You will have to buy it by the plate in order to get that. It's also a cash only place. Very inconvenient. I was willing to pay extra for the condiments. They told me NO. So I ended up going to my original place in East LA..Tortilleria Imperial. They take cash and ATM. Not to mention its alot cheaper and includes all the condiments. Also taste alot better in my opinion. The only reason I came to El infierno was because its alot closer to my work. But definitely Tortilleria Imperial was worth the extra 30 minutes both ways from my work place. Cross streets are 1st...
