Barone's Pizza — Restaurant in Lyons Township

I will never eat their food again. I really don't think they know the meaning of Authentic Italian Food is. The veal & chicken parm was absolutely awful. Could totally tell that is was frozen shaped patties, that were almost burnt and had the consistency of rubber. The veal was so bad we asked for it to be taken back. Ended up having just mostacoli. Gotta say it didn't have a fresh taste to it.A salad was forgotten and an order a fries, that cost $3.95 got to the table at the end of the meal. The biggest surprise is when I recieved the bill. When I questioned the total, like charging me for the veal parm that we didnt even eat. Then finding out, instead of being charged tax as one lump sum, they charge tax on everything individually! The reply I recieved was "We can do it either way", in a rather snotty tone. It's no wonder the place was empty, especially if they treat their costumers like that. As a long time resident of this area, I just moved back from Florida and chose this place because they always had great service and a great product. We came in and the place was completely empty and stayed that way for the entire hour we spent there. The counter person/waitress was completely inattentive and twice we had to leave our table and request additional drinks. The pizza has changed. Ordered eggplant sandwich and gyro and a Connolly. Connolly was. Frozen, gyro no sides, they forgot coleslaw, and sauce. Eggplant was. O.k. all cold on delivery the store is 1 mile away.they did comeback with the extras in 10 minutes to please. I like their two places, but best to dine in. I had too high of expectations since I was too sick to cook tonight. $30. Not worth the $30. Inc. Delivey and too. I guess you can't expect too much for $11.00 per person in food.
