Henry's Tacos — Restaurant in Lyons Township

I walked in there with a $20 hoping to get a boritos 2 tacos and a drink but instead they called a police on me because I was short 25cent customer service was very bad there when I went to place an order the owner and his wife both humiliated me in the mostly nasty way by calling me a thief in front of the whole store and other customers and my son. I was short 25 cent for a small bottle of coca cola that was costing $3.75 and another customer covered for me by giving them a dollar but they said I had taken the money from there tip jar which was a lie and they called the police on me and told them my 5 year old stole a Coca Cola had us searched me and my son in the middle of the street!! And once they found out there was no money on us they let us go.. which is the ultimate proof that they were lying. And they kept my change of $3 plus the extra dollar the lady gave me and had the police take the Coca Cola back from my son which means they the thief who got paid and did not service me by keeping my $3. Which is a shame when I was just trying to help support the business in my neighborhood and the food is not even that good. This is a shame and that’s not how to treat a customer. I’ve been living in this neighborhood for almost 3 years and anytime I want Mexican food I order with them or Pepe’s I guess from now on I’ll stay with pepe’s

And they wanted to charge me for using my Apple Pay. And at the end I asked them to give me my money back n keep their food they said they couldn’t do that cuz the food was all ready!! I believe I was being racially profiled me and my son since they had the police search him as well. So aggravating to put a child through that because of 25cent when I have given them way more then that...

Incredible Experience from Start to Finish!

Just moved to the area and decided to try something local—and WOW, I’m so glad I chose Henry’s Tacos! From the moment I walked in, I felt like I had been transported straight into a vibrant, authentic Mexican eatery. The atmosphere is colorful, inviting, and full of charm.

I ordered the carne asada pambazos, and let me tell you—they were unreal! Bursting with flavor, perfectly cooked, and absolutely crave-worthy. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Everything looked incredible, and I can't wait to come back and try more.

The service was just as impressive. The young lady at the front was warm, friendly, and super helpful—she made the whole experience even better. You can tell they really care about their customers here.

Oh, and if you're into it—they even have slot machines, so you can enjoy some fun while savoring some of the best tacos around.

So grateful to have found our new go-to neighborhood Mexican spot. We’re already planning our next visit.

I usually come to this place with my buddy at least four times a month. Tacos are small but tasteful. They usually take a while when we dine in, almost to the point where it’s like okay it’s been fifteen minutes. Today I walked in to pick up my order I had place ten minutes before arriving. I go in and wait an additional roughly 7 minutes. I understand Spanish and one lady is on her phone gossiping in the dining area. I specifically show my face and wave at her so she sees and acknowledges me. I still end up waiting while the two ladies in the back are cooking and talking as well. All in all my tacos were ready I didn’t have to wait a minute they were sitting on the counter top. Unfortunately this will be my last time...
