The hostess Lilly took down my name and told me it would be a 40-minute wait. Which I am fine with. I go back 20 minutes later to check on an updated time, and she replies oh I called your name 3 times you didn't answer, so I took you off the list." Mind you, she told me 40 minutes, and it's only been 20 minutes. So I tell her I hope I'm definitely next since you gave me the wrong wait time. She said I have to add you to the list again it will be another 30-minute wait. Ridiculous, I will not wait again . Just an FYI, we were the only people of color in the restaurant. My wife politely asked to speak to a manager and lilly told her you could leave if you dont like it while pointing to the door. We felt very discriminated against. Regardless, she has horrible customer service and should be fired. The manager Charlie, I believe her and some lady they claim is corporate management didn't even acknowledge us and just stood there. She didn't even speak with us after we asked to talk to her . The employees are only as good as management. #HorribleService I would rather ride 36 minutes into town than eat here. Read moreI was very excited that an IHop came up in Lytle, but was very disappointed! I got there, the host told me it was a 10 min wait on a table, ended up being a 20 min wait to get seated. Once we had a table it took 15 minutes to get our drink order, we went ahead and ordered everything... since the server was taking forever to check on us. I timed this because I thought it was ridiculous.... after being in the building for 1 full hour... we finally get our food... only to find that my sirloin tips were cold... my hashbrowns where white and seemed undone in the inside. My daughters waffle was cold. She ordered BBQ sauce with her tenders and got ranch. The sausage links looked undone... the sauce on the biscuits and heavy was cold. The overall food seemed like it was done fast and therefore was uncooked. Soooo disappointed. If you are wondering if you should come to Ihop, do yourself a favor- dive to San Antonio, you will arrive to the next closest ihop before you even get seated in this one.
My note to IHop- if your going to do something DO IT RIGHT! Lytle is a great town, with ALOT of growth... build a bigger Ihop- hire more people- and...
Read moreFirst visit to this IHOP and the service was horrendous to say the least.. the waitress was rushed and seemed upset, cut us off as we spoke our order, we told her we weren’t in a hurry, but that didn’t change the way she spoke to us, maybe she was having a bad day.. her tablet went down, so she took our order on her paper instead, after about 40 mins of sitting with our drinks now empty, she came back to tell us that our orders hadn’t been placed due to tablets not submitting… they rushed to make our order, and offered free drinks. Management came by and apologized, I just feel like it was something that could have been told to us sooner, or this issue found out sooner, if she had come by to check on us.. meanwhile, we watched several other tables get their food around us.. a manger said it was only the waitresses 6th day.. in a table of 6, all of us felt like our waitress was rude. On top of that, the glasses we were given had lipstick stains.. and weren’t clean. This was a first visit.. atmosphere was nice.. they are limited on seating.. I might give them another try after they have been open...
