This review is a response to a recent review from a person who goes as "Angel Elias", who is unsatisfied with the quality of sauces serve to her and previous meat she ate.
First things first, I am sure they manage their food property, as they have taken the required courses. I know that because if you enter and take your time to look, they have it on display. The manager is educated and inspectors clearly haven't had an issue with how they store food as if they did they would've shut the place down temporarily or permanently. Texas doesn't play when it comes to business and management. Let's also acknowledge that mistakes CAN happen when serving food but it can also be an issue due to the customer handing food without proper care regarding temperature. Sometimes we as consumers feel unsatisfied with what we're given, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's expired food. For the sauce issue, it is true maybe the sauce was bad, but let's not forget to take into consideration the temperature of the food and of wherever you had it once you received your food from staff. Sauces are rather sensitive to temperature and can quickly get a bad odor if next to hot food, which in this case could've been the tacos. 🙂👍🏻
I've had tacos from this restaurant hundreds of times (ex worker) and I love eating them with the red salsa. I handle my food with care, which prevents the likelihood of it going bad quickly. If you are worried about the odor coming from your salsa make sure you keep it stored at an appropriate temperature! It helps a lot to do that. Naturally it isn't always preventable, so take into consideration the distance from your destination and the place you got your food from when you're ordering. 🙂↕️
And regarding the manager issue angel Elias mentioned, that is a very blunt lie. The manager is always in the restaurant, you can verify with other customers there! you can ask any staff and they'll tell you whether she is there or not. You may come across she isn't truly there, but staff won't lie to you about whether a manager is present or not. After all they don't benefit from that. Talking as someone who has worked here at some point, This restaurant tends to customers and their complaints immediately. While working there I never saw them lie saying the manager was absent. I've even translated to help the customer out.

Read moreI ordered tacos here multiple times and there have been times when the carne quisada has given me food poisoning(2times over 2 year) I stopped coming but since its closer to me I thought I’d give it another shot and for a little bit it was ok but most recently today I got 6 tacos and the salsa that came with it was extremely bad the little container was inflated and when I put it in my taco I smelt how bad it was so I come to ask for a refund because it’s not the first time I’ve gotten the containers that way but at this point it’s disgusting honestly for a restaurant of many year to be having multiple containers of expired salsa handed out on top of that when I tried giving friendly advice about dating the containers for the date they either made it or it expires and the manager Maria got defensive saying they take classes for this stuff and that they’re not perfect… well if you take classes and are selling food to hundred of people I would think after so many years you’d have it to where your not handing out expired condiments. Either they’re not checking their products when they’re supposed or they’re not refrigerated correctly which is concerning because what else are they not storing properly for example the times I’ve gotten food poisoning from their carne quisada and back then I honestly was younger and less confrontational but now it’s just got to me because when they messed up on my order they lied saying the manager wasn’t there and they’re not going to fix it or refund it so at this point I’m just DONE with this restaurant and would highly suggest you come to the tacos stand in front of the friendly stop they’re food and salsa is much better quality and...
Read moreThis is a turn-around-diner. If you don't see it, you'll miss it. It looks like a common ground for truck drivers and temporary assignment jobs workers, etc. The diner has plenty of parking. The staff met us with a welcoming smile. There's plenty of seating. They advertise that they serve beer and margaritas. When we chose our table, we ordered sweet tea and lemonade. Our first order was the #2 plate with its side of charro beans and Mexican rice and tortillas. The other order was the "Special of the day," the guisado(cortadillo) plate complimented with Mexican rice and refried beans also with tortillas. When our server brought our plates to the table, ahhh... there's nothing like your order arriving less than 20 minutes. The ratio of meat to the sides was good. The presentation of our plates was mouth watering. Juicy and tender carñe asada, green bell pepper, onion, and 4 slices of sausages. Until I tried the carñe asada, it was salty in the marinate. So were the canned charro beans. The other order, the special (guisado/cortadillo), were big chunks of meat in its gravy - no salt followed by canned refried beans. The only homemade foods on our plates were the Mexican rice and flour tortillas. I rated this restaurant a 3 stars because of its great customer service. They're friendly, attentive, welcoming, fast, no wait time for our orders, and logistics were also good. This diner looked like it's well managed. Admittedly, I've had better Mexican food...
