I was pleasantly surprised by the food. If I go to a new seafood location I always try their shrimp cocktail. I ordered the small, and when it came out I was blown away by the amount that was given. It was so much 2-3 people could eat off of it. I was expecting a small portion that came in a cocktail glass of some sort, but no. It tasted great as well with the lemon squeezed over it added an extra kick. I also ordered the fish al mojo de ajo from the lunch menu, I didn't ask what kind of fish it was when I ordered, but in the end it didn't matter I tasted amazing. The bottom had a nice pan seared crust, and the fish was deliciously garlic buttery. I opted for a side of their version of dirty rice. Again, it was really good a long with the fish bites. The roll served was a soft honey butter flavor. It also came with a few vegetables, to me that was a waste on their part because the felt more decorative or as a filler rather than something to eat. Upon check out I was charged 13.99 for the lunch menu rather than the 11.99 that comes with salad and a drink. I also ask the young waiter what kind of fish it was and he told me swai. Hmmm wasn't expecting it to be such a crappy fish being served. The young male waiter was on point answering questions and being attentive to his table. There weren't many customers in the establishment. The I would have given more stars, but for the general public coming in and eating I would have a rage of items on TV to watch, but they were only playing the soccer game and it was all in Spanish. Some other options would have been nice. The other issue I had is that while I was eating the staff and the owners wife were doing a complete overhaul cleaning of the floors with a mop, and of the bathroom with the door open scrubbing the toilet. Yuck not what I want to see or smell while eating. To me that should have been done before or...
Read moreFirst time here and there was only one waiter working on a Monday! Danny H had great attitude did his best serving us even though he was the only waiter taking care of 5 tables. I asked for wine and there was none available so I just ordered sweet tea. Waiter suggested the Bourbon fish (snapper) I hate to say but the fish was dry and overcooked. The purée I did not like on the fish. I still can’t figure out the puree on top of my fish but did not enjoy it so I took it all off. My husband had ceviche and chips which he had no problem with it until he at the serrano pepper. Never had it with Serrano pepper in any ceviche I ever ordered! The crispy fresh chips were delicious and the mash potatoes . I also had a calamari but negative on the marinara I’m assuming it was from a can and had a mound of red pepper on top. I substituted that for Ranch which did much better with the fried calamari and mixture of fried zucchini. I was told chef has been there for 4 years but do suggest when you serve cucumber as a garnish to remove the skin it had a bitter taste to it I could not swallow it! Sorry not sorry. On a positive note I loved the bar area with all the bottles on back shelves against your wall but noticed your draft beer is not behind your bar! Draft is stationed at the waiters computers out back by your kitchen! Next time I will stick to a Ribeye and bake potato but did not see a baked potato in your menu! I loved visiting your town super cute town! I will be back to try your steaks! Hope I will have a better...
Read moreChanging my initial review. The first two times I came here when the restaurant opened the food and the service was fantastic. They were on it. But over the last few months the last three times I came here including the recent visit, the service was very poor, very slow, the drinks that we ordered were so delayed for being semi slow, and when the drink order was finally relayed to the bar they were totally wrong. There were four of us one couple got their food first and several minutes later the other couple got their food. And even our food was cold on the cusp of Luke warm. Our sides never came out. I don’t know what happen in the few months since they opened till today considering, the last three times I’ve been there I don’t think will ever be back. Especially with the last three times our food been semi-lukewarm, and it’s seafood so that worries me and our sides been fairly cold. Three times strike. Game over for us at this place. Hope they change.
