I had the jerk chicken with collards, and rice and peas. The chicken was good but not quite spicy enough for me. It would be spicy enough for most people. The collards were done perfectly. Soft with a crunch. I hate overcooked greens. Not quite enough salt. Maybe a good thing to help curb my blood pressure. Rice and peas was mostly dry. Too much rice and not enough peas and sauce. Flavor was spot on, just dry. Overall, the prices were fair considering the economy. I will be back. However, the order and delivery windows need to be reversed. As it is currently, you drive the back of the building to get to the order window. Then you have to make a U-turn in the front of the building to get to the delivery window. There is a potential for confusion and accidents. If they were reversed, customers could drive to the order window accessing it immediately from the front. Place their order and loop around the back of the building to the delivery window. That would give a structured line to wait rather than having customers forming a line into travel lanes of the parking lot. Considering how quick the ordering is compared to serving up the meal(s). Disappointed, I was expecting the lunch special for 8.95, showed up at 1:35 pm and he said the special was over, no times listed near the lunch special sign, which is very shady and deceptive. The drive thru is not meant for big body cars, can't even accommodate my car without having to reverse and pull in while going to the pick up window🙄. Jerk chicken was not seasoned or marinated ,nor smoked like a true Jamaican would do, all they did was squeeze jerk sauce on the chicken and it wasn't spicy at all. The mac n cheese is wet and okay I guess if your a little high. The plantains were okay, they were a little too soft but edible. Jerk chicken tasted and smelled rotten, let's start there. We ordered because we are new to town and heard good word of mouth about them. This is why I don't eat at everybody house. The greens weren't washed and needed to cook down more. The rice was supposed to be rice and peas. There was no seasoning, no coconut flavor, no peas. I ordered a beef patty, I got something w small chucks of chicken and something like grainy like over cooked potatoes mashed in it. The curry chicken was ok. The jerk chicken is why I want everyone to eat at your own risk. I really don't want people to get sick. It was topped w a extra coat of jerk to hide the fact that the chicken was bad😞.
