Macon Wings — Restaurant in Macon

Terrible experience. Should’ve turned around when I saw the empty parking lot at dinner time. Decided to try a new wing place with my husband, we’re walking in and I smile at the man working through the window and he looked at me like I was a burden. Continued to look at the menu. My husband asked for honey lemon pepper on his fries and the man pointed his finger to the seasonings saying there’s self serve on the table and my husband repeated, no I want honey lemon pepper, the man gave an ugly look and stated it would make the fries soggy… so what? That’s what the customer is asking for, and you made it clear by the five different signs stating that there’s no refunds so why does it matter to you? This is georgia, we all toss our fries , it’s not a bizarre request. Also we both requested to make our drinks large, and he charged our card and put medium cups on the counter. I said did you not ring us up for large? And he gave me a smart a** look and said no with an attitude. I know he heard us ask for large cups, and he didn’t even ATTEMPT to fix his mistake, or offer to charge us the difference for large which I would’ve done. But my husband was so upset at this point he told me not to worry about it. They have 0 tables in the room and are charging 50 cent and 75 cent for a refill??? Broke behavior!!! No radio or tv, quite and awkward. We also only got one ranch for each of our 10 pc wings. Just seems two is only right for a 10 pc with fries. Also the honey lemon pepper , all they did was squirt honey straight from the bottle onto the fries and dumped excessive lemon pepper on top. Definitely won’t be returning. I’m thinking the man might’ve been the owner as some of the google responses sound snarky just like him. So when you see this, I hope whatever it is ur going through, I hope you heal. I hope you can take some time off work and try to find the deeper you. You hold so much tension it radiates from within you and affects the people around you. You have some real inner work to do and I hope...

💥WARNING💥 JUST SPENT $88 HERE ON FOOD THAT IS NOT EDIBLE AND HAS SENT 2 OF OUR WORKERS HOME FROM WORK FOR FOOD POISONING THEY ARE VOMITING UNCONTROLLABLY!!!! NOT 1 BUT 2 WORKERS. AFTER I CALLED THE "MANAGER" NOT ONLY DID HE REFUSE MY REFUND HE ALSO SAID IT WAS BC WE ASKED FOR THE FOOD "FRIED HARD" DO NOT EAR HERE!!

• 2 EMPLOYEES IN THE ER FOR FOOD POISONING! NO SIR YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT! YOU CAN STILL GET SICK IF THE COOKED FOOD IS CONTAMINATED WITH THE JUICES OF RAW FOOD OR NOT WASHING HANDS PROPERLY OR IF ITS BEEN STORED IN A FRIDGE ALREADY COOKED FOR MORE THAN 4 DAYS AND THEN RECOOKED MAKING IT "FRIED HARD" THE BONES OF THE CHICKEN WAS BREAKING APART. APPARENTLY YOU NEED A FOOD AND SAFETY HANDLING CLASS! ALSO STOP BLAMING THE CUSTOMERS WHEN YOUR FOOD TODAY WAS LITERALLY GARBAGE! I WILL LET EVERYONE AT BOTH MY JOBS KNOW HOW HORRIBLE NOT ONLY THE FOOD WAS BUT HOW HORRIBLE YOU TALK TO YOUR CUSTOMERS! HERE IS A BUSINESS TIP SIR .... WORD OF MOUTH CAN BREAK OR MAKE A BUSINESS IN MIDDLE GEORGIA! AND WHAT U HAVE DONE COULD POSSIBLY BE THE BREAKING POINT FOR YOUR BUSINESSES! YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU DID THATS WHY YOU DID NOT ANSWER THE FIRST TIME I CALLED. YOU REFUSED TO ANSWER FROM THE PHONE I ORIGINALLY CALLED FROM. I HAD TO CALL FROM MY CELL PHONE TO GET YOU TO ANSWER. ONCE YOU REALIZED IT WAS ME YOU IMMEDIATELY BECAME DEFENSIVE! YOU KNEW WHAT YOU SERVED US! YOU JUST DONT UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH MONEY U LOST FOR YOUR BUSINESS BEING I WORK AT A DEALERSHIP AND A BAR WITH LOTS OF EMPLOYEES AND CUSTOMERS! ALSO INSULTING CUSTOMERS AND SERVING FOOD THAT PUT 2 IN THE HOSPITAL IS PROBABLY THE WORST THING A BUSINESS COULD DO! MAY UR BUSINESS GET EXACTLY WHAT...

*edited 10-19-22 to respond to owners reply....I never complained or compared the WINGS to any other place, I was only stating that with a 20 pc I only got 2 carrots and 1 celery...and I do understand its just a "garnish " but it is kinda a staple when ordering wings. Also you state the cost of chicken has gone up, yes I'm very aware of that but not the cost of frozen processed "chicken tenders" that were not even the size of my palm. I will compare them to chicken tenders you get ar hardees..they are hand battered and cooked fresh. Now I'm not trying to be a rude or disgruntled customer but I was just blown away about the change in atmosphere when the owner isn't there and the quality food you get.

I've ordered from this place plenty times before and had no problems at all, but this time I was very disappointed In not only the food but the not so nice response to a question. I believe I did not get the value of the food I paid for. I ordered the 20 pc wings and only got 1 ranch dipping sauce and 2 small carrots and 1 small celery.. and I also ordered the 3 pc chicken tenders that cost $7.99...so I was thinking fresh, hand breaded chicken. Nope, I got pre frozen small processed chicken...
