Carriage Hills Bottle Shoppe — Local services in Macon

Nice, well stocked liquor store, however, I would look elsewhere for keg orders.

Ordered a 1/2 barrel keg (180 beers) 5 days prior to an event which had 30 attendees. Further, I'm told the keg will be delivered the day before the event. ON the morning of the event, I receive a call stating the keg I ordered never made it in and all that was there was a 1/6 barrel (50 beers) of different beer. So... To counter this issue, Carriage Hills offered me the 1/6 barrel for FREE. Sure, no complaints about free beer, but imagine you're the host telling your 30 guests that their beer limit is ~1.5 beers... And that's without keg stands! Needless to say, the keg ran out in under an hour.

I appreciate the fact that they did their best to salvage the situation, but I was upset they couldn't deliver. They nearly ruined the event.

Also. I had to spend over $20 for all the extra ice to surround...

As a fan of super smooth Japanese whiskey, they have some hidden gems that are becoming exceedingly rare over the last 5 years. I haven't purchased them yet as the prices are high for those hard-to-find bits of "spiritual" enlightenment, but I'm happy to know that they are there! Staff is friendly and laid out just like other stores... Next time I'll ask for insights and pairings... It's a liquor store... With a good selection...
