Overtyme Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Macon

My experience was awful. I was there on this past Friday night on 2/2/18 with my friend for her bday celebration, I’ve been to this establishment before with no problems, but this particular night was just awful, we were disrespected from the moment we arrived around 730pm because our section was given away to someone else and then later on in the evening, a man became distressed and needed some help. As myself and my friends tried to offer help because some of us are nurses and others has medical experience as well, we were pushed out the way several times by men. I went on to explain I’m a nurse and we like to offer our help but again was pushed away by these same men. One in return became very upset with me because I was telling him that he was wrong for pushing on ladies and he started using all kinds of profanity towards me and put a big grey goose bottle in my face and I pushed it away and told him do not put a bottle in my face and then he threw his entire drink in my face, A MAN did this to a woman and nothing was done and as I tried to defend myself, I was grabbed by security and thrown out the bar in tears, my eyes was burning from the alcohol in them, my hair was soaked and nothing was done to this man who attack a woman verbally and physically. Today I learned the man who I was trying to help died inside of the bar, maybe things would have been different if extra help would have been allowed to preceed in correct and proper CPR. I will never celebrate anything there again nor recommend this place for older professionals people to enjoy...

2nd time here but very disappointed as we came in every table had reserved except one and we were seated at that table.. then a member of the staff told us that we would have to move because our table belonged to someone who came every Sunday and the table was supposed to be reserved but the staff didn't know.. However a couple came in after we did that knowingly sat at a table that was reserved and the lady said we gonna sit here until they tell us different... no one ever said anything to them at all we had order appetizers and drinks just had gotten our food so lady moved us to another table and we were told it was not reserved but it had a reserved paper However we were told we would not be moved again.. mind you we had to move our drinks food etc to this table then the lady come back after we get a box i had just ordered another beverage and tells us someone bought our table so at this point we get check and leave because our whole vibe was ruined by being harassed and watched over a table when we got there no one was there and we sat at a table HAD NO SIGN on it.. so at no point were we told we needed to purchase the table a long with our food drink etc me and my husband both feel like we were discriminated against for we are an interracial couple and we were treated this way when no one else was. Our server was just as shocked as we were she was very nice but we will never go back

I don't live in the middle Georgia area anymore but everytime I'm home, I always try to find a reason to come to Overtyme. I came here most recently for my cousins birthday and we had a really good time. This is the type place where everyone can come and have fun (young and old). Drinks are inexpensive and the bartenders are cool. The food is typical bar food but its good and its consistent (the housemade sauce is also really good). One thing that isn't as consistent are the waitresses. Sometimes you will have a good one and sometimes you won't (unfortunatley, the last time we came, we didnt have a good waitress), but we even with that, Overtyme is still a place that you should visit if you are in the area. Fried fish and wings are good. Bartenders are good. Music is always good (from oldies to current day hip hop and R&B). And its always vibes. For more reviews, visit...
