Potato Po-Ta-Toe — Restaurant in Macon

May 16th my son and I decided to try this new spot. I ordered a baked potato with shrimp. No cheese, sour cream, nothing like that, just butter. My son ordered the nachos with cheese and alot of extra stuff, that I can't remember. Plus a drink. What threw me off was when he ordered his food, and he said what he wanted and didnt want, she questioned him like she couldnt believe he wanted his food like that. EVERYBODY dont eat the same way. How she eat may not be how he eat. The hell?! But anyway, it took a while to get the food so I jus knew it was gonna be good as hell. WRONG! The potato was too little, dry, cooked way too long, and I only got 4 shrimp. Like really? My son's nachos was soggy, it came with everything he asked for but he said that it didnt taste good. We paid $31 for the wait. I wont be going back because the food was too high and cooked too long. Honestly I felt like I could have made this at home for half the price. First time visiting today. Ordered 3 plates for myself, wife and children. 1st plate, Wings, m & c, collards, 2nd plate, pork chops, corn on the cob and m & c. 3rd plate, Baked chicken over rice and gravy, m & c, collards again. Also order vegetable plate and red velvet cake and pound cake. The fried chicken and pork chops were very good. Baked chicken was tender and good. Mac & cheese is always hit or miss with soul food restaurants. it was a little dry, but okay. Dressing was wet and delicious and Broccoli cheese casserole was very good. I didn't care for the fried corn on the Cobb, but it was tolerable. Everything, doesn't need to be fried to taste good. The collards we could not eat. They were way too over seasoned and taste like high blood pressure. Pound cake was great! Red velvet taste a little plain. Customer service and friendliness was great even though they were busy! Hopefully, they get they own dime...

Today I called to place a order AT 12PM and someone picked up and said they're not opening until 3. BECAUSE THEY WERE COOKINg the food for the NEXT DAY!!! I asked could I place my order ahead of time @1pm. She told me to text her my order,so I did. I texted the order and the name on my order & I was told to be there at 3:15. My husband got there early,sat in the car until 3:15 went up to the door there was a sign saying they don't open until 4!!! Someone came to the door and said my order isn't ready & maybe ready around 3:45-4:00 they wasn't sure!! THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVERY RECIEVED IN MY LIFE!!
