Ordered a medium pizza for lunch today. I requested a works pizza and substituted the olives for jalapenos. When I called in my order the gentleman at the cafe answered quickly and was pleasant to speak with over the phone.
This pizza is both delicious, and and in no way remarkable at all. And that's actually ok. The crust is thin and has a nice crisp along the edges.
The toppings were fresh and had a lot of flavor. The pepperoni were nice and crispy, just how I like them. And the healthy dusting of parmesan cheese on top was really nice.
And the amount of toppings were generous. This was a satisfying pizza.
But that being said, nothing stood out as being remarkable. It really is what I would say a stereotypical "good" pizza should be. If you are looking for a local pizza place that everyone will probably like, this is the place to go.
I would say compared to a couple local places, it's a better pizza than most. I would say it has better flavor than Deschner's, is heftier than Two Cousins, and has far better toppings than Leaning Tower.
The one thing to keep in mind though is you get a much bigger helping of pizza for the same price at Deschner's. Deschner's gives you about twice as much pizza for about $4 more.
So quality, this is the best local place I've tried thus far in Mansfield. But if you are looking for quantity, Deschner's has Pronto beat.
All in all, I'll be back. Really liked the pizza here.
Edit: I picked up lunch here again today. I ordered a 16" Caribbean jerk chicken pizza and a side of 5 bone-in original BBQ wings.
First off, the wings. They are fine. They aren't bad. They aren't great. They are fine. Their sauce isn't as good as B-Dubs or Domino's. But the wings are bigger than both of those chains.
So as far as comparing them to your most basic wings, they stack up ok. But compared to Roosters wings, or a local pub that specializes in great wings, this place won't keep pace.
For $7.50, five of them might be a good deal depending on your expectations. I think they would be better priced at about $1 a wing.
The Caribbean jerk pizza was also....just fine. It wasn't too far off a traditional BBQ chicken pizza. Except there were mushrooms added. So that was different. But there wasn't a lot of jerk flavor to this.
I will admit, I'm not big on specialty pizzas, but all the same I would want something like this to stand out. As it is, not really. If you had blindfolded me I would have guessed this was just a BBQ chicken pizza because the flavor profiles weren't that different.
Disappointing considering this cost me more than $25 today.
Also, they charge a service fee for using a credit card. That annoys me. Because if not for the opportunity to use a card, I wouldn't even be there in the first place. Just factor your total cost of the food in your asking price.
Been here twice. Both times I felt the food wasn't worth the price, although the first pizza I ordered was really good. Add the fact my meal today was very, "meh," and that I get reminded when I go there that they are charging me a fee to use my card, I just don't think this place will be on my radar anymore.
Edit 2: I received a coupon for a free sub on my birthday from here, and decided to give this place a third chance. I ordered an 8" steak sammich and an apple crisp pizza.
The steak sammich was ok, but that's all I can give it really. Not much cheese, hardly any mushrooms, and just lacked flavor. For free, it was great. But if I had to pay the $7.50 regular price, I'd be disappointed.
The apple crisp pizza was delicious. Absolutely worth the $12 I paid for it.
All in all, this place is a miss for me. I've probably come for the last time. Just better...

While no inside dining is available (there are tables outside for nicer weather days), and the waiting area inside is tiny, there are 2 comfy chairs available to wait for your order inside. The food and specialty drinks are made to order, so you should expect to wait 10-20 minutes, depending upon the complexity of your order. And I love how the walls in the waiting area are covered in ads representing local folks with small businesses. There's plenty to look at while you wait. Lol. They also carry packaged dog treats from one of these small businesses. It's almost Christmas-time, so I grabbed one for a stocking stuffer! And The Whiskful Bake Shop (local small business) coordinates bakery pick-ups through Pronto as well. The food and beverages we've tried so far have been very tasty. Check out the fixed day menu for specialty pizzas/items that are available only on certain weekdays. And watch for the free cookie with purchase specials too. The bacon cheeseburger pizza was AMAZING! Please note that the cold toppings (lettuce, tomato, and pickles) are served on the side for you to put on yourself. The cheesy bread ROCKS! It is made and cut as a round pizza and not actual sticks. I could have eaten an entire pie of that by myself, it was so good! The wings were average to large sized and coated in flavor! The jo-jo's are covered in toppings (if you order them that way) and lots of BACON! It's a very hearty side dish. And they have some of the hottest jalapenos I've ever had! And I eat ghost peppers regularly! Lol. The brownie bites were pretty good, But I'd probably only get those again if I had a super chocolate craving, because they were rather average, but in cup shape and tasty. I had a hot cherry lotus drink and it was really good. Even there was no chocolate in it, it tasted like hot chocolate covered cherries. Lol. I actually think it might even be better if it were served cold. The Owner and Employees are all kind, friendly and prompt. The menu is HUGE! The price is average. It isn't cheap. But, the menu has literally everything you'd expect and more. And the shop itself is so unique and worth a stop! I really don't think you'll be disappointed. And you definitely won't go...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you like cardboard crust this is the place for you! I truly cannot remember a time I had a pizza this bad. We got 7oz jojos we ate one in the parking lot and they were EXTREMELY soggy. A 10 inch extra cheese pizza, if the crust was better it may have passed as decent. Than the problem order. A taco pizza. They first forgot our toppings, then I called and said there were no beans on the pizza, he said they put a decent serving not a thin layer on them so he offered to bring a new one. Then called me and told me he watched his security cameras and the worker put beans on it. The new pizza he brought you can see the beans on it, our original one there was the thinnest layer ever we didnāt even see any on there until after the new pizza arrived. Our ātoppingsā as you can see the lettuce was disgusting. I wouldāve been so embarrassed that my employees actually sent that to a customer. Also, I have to put my own toppings on it? Never had to do that with a taco pizza before. The owner was nice and apologized, but I could never eat this pizza again. 0/10 recommend, I truly donāt understand how this place has so many...
