Update: 4.4.2021
We gave them one more shot today. Easter buffet. $30 bucks per person. We paid 167.50 for 6 adults and one child. Imagine our shock when we received an additional bill for our tea & coffee. Apparently no basic drink service was included. In all our years coming here to holiday buffets we have never been charged for tea & coffee. Horribly disappointed. Additional 12 bucks for drinks! The food was good. But nowhere near a 30 value.
Previous Review: We have always enjoyed the hidden gem that is The Paddock Pub. Due to Covid we haven't been here for awhile. Nor under the new ownership.
Monday night. 5 ish. Only one other table. Our server was friendly but not really engaging. Not sure what happened as no explanation was given, but we ordered shortly after 5 and our food did not present till 5:40. A loooong wait for a non busy restaurant.
We had to ask for refills. Boxes. To order dessert. It was weird. Our waitress wasn't rude. She just didn't really take care of us.
Former owner Scott used to stop by our table to see how things were. No one stopped by this visit. Our Bill came to $81 bucks for 4 people. No alcohol. Waters for drinks. Overall too much money for a lackluster meal.
Food was still decent but the service level has dropped significantly. Not sure we...
Read moreI want to give paddocks a good review, the food is good. But the service is terrible. I’ve been to this place twice (to give it a second chance as the first time they were quite busy) I dined solo and it seems like the wait staff couldn’t care about a solo diner. 15+ minutes to get a menu or drinks, and while we’re on the topic of drinks be sure to ration your water; you won’t get a refill. You can also ask for ketchup several times, but you’ll just have to go get it yourself. Eventually the waitress dashed by and laid the check on my table. Literally had a water pitcher in her hand and passed by. (Remember no refills) I had decided to get desert, so I didn't pay just yet. I got the Molten Cake, with ice cream. 10 minutes after I ordered, the waitress comes back and asked what I ordered because she forgot. 20 minutes later desert was finally there, the ice cream was almost completely melted by this point, and the cake tasted burnt.
I tend to be not too picky when it comes to restaurants; minus the cake, the food is really good here, and the bar is nice! In my opinion the wait staff really kills it for me. I had the same waitress both times I went, and the absolute inattentiveness both times busy or not is likely why I will not frequent this...
Read moreI want to start off by saying we have been here many times before, and the food has been pretty good. It's not great, but good. Good enough that we have been back. However, our visit last week... Well, the food was below par. Especially the fries. The first set of fries we got on two different dishes were clearly old and cold. We asked the waitress for some fresh fries, and they basically took the fries we sent back and stuck them in the microwave.
Meanwhile, the table next to us got what looked like their normal, fresh, hot fires. Again, we complained to the waitress and told her the fries were still terrible. However, at that time, we were unwilling to wait for fries again as our group had just about finished dinner. I had the French bread pizza myself this visit, and it left a lot to be desired. Bland is the only real explanation I can use to describe it. I have had frozen french bread pizzas better.
Hopefully, when we come back, the food will be...
