I was craving some veggie / hibachi fried rice today and wound up here to try their carry out. I was definitely pleased with my experience!

Located in a large shopping center with Publix and Champy's, on what I'd consider the Huntsville/Madison cusp, this restaurant seems to do mostly takeout even in non-Covid times. Looks like there was a table or two to sit at back in those times, but Asian House is carry out only for now, and the dining area is cordoned off by a large table. Staff members also speak to you from behind a barrier. The lady I spoke with was masked and wearing gloves at the time of my visit, so all in all great Covid precautions.

I placed my order over the phone as I was headed out of my house. The man taking it repeated it back to me accurately, took my phone number, and told me it would be 10-15 minutes. My food was ready when I arrived about 15 minutes later, so that was great!

The lady who bagged up my food and took my payment was so sweet and pleasant. She double checked my order, thanked me for coming in, and wished me a nice afternoon. She also made sure to ask if I needed any forks, napkins, etc with my meal.

I was very pleased and impressed with the price: two regular sized entrees and an appetizer for $21! There was more than enough food to fill us up. It stayed warm and the fried stuff relatively crispy on the way home.

I had my aforementioned vegetable hibachi, boyfriend got sesame chicken, and we split the gyoza. The gyoza is pan fried, with one side rather crispy and the other still that pleasing, slightly chewy texture. It was noted as pork gyoza on the menu, and for once, I could actually taste the flavors of the meat! Sometimes I feel like gyoza gets a sort of generic vegetable-y flavor, but this one didn't. Soy dipping sauce was standard but tasty.

Boyfriend described his sesame chicken as "standard sesame chicken, which is not a bad thing." I tasted it and would agree. The chicken came in large pieces and it wasn't overly sauced. I noticed the chicken pieces seemed to be all white meat, which I prefer. My veggie hibachi was really good! It had broccoli, squash, mushrooms, peas, carrots, and onions. Little heavy on the onions for me, but I picked around the excess. Veggies were cooked well. The shining star of both of our meals was the fried rice -- it was delicious! Had that lovely slightly smoky quality to it that comes with the perfect balance of soy sauce and sesame oil. Whatever you get, make sure it comes with fried rice! My only regret is not asking for a little bit more yum yum sauce to pour on top.

If fast, tasty, affordable takeout served by friendly folks is your objective, Asian...

Wow!!! This place was amazing, hands down the best in the area. I'm from Florence, AL, and we don't have anything this good in our area. I definitely recommend them to anyone!! The customer service was astonishing!!! When I called to put in my order she was very polite and made sure I knew the location, I didn't, thankfully she helped me out!! The yum yum sauce was great and free!!! Everywhere charges so much for it. The chicken was perfect, I hate dry chicken and there's was juicy. It came with fried rice, not white rice so no extra charges there. The portions were nice I got the regular and it was enough for two meals. The pork egg rolls were delicious and huge!!! Everything was very fresh and I'm extremely satisfied!! Will definitely be coming here when...

I don't remember what this place was named before or if it always used this name but there's always been an asian food restaurant/take out place here. I used to go over regularly because sometimes I wanted asian food. And it was Ok and that was that.

And then, years later after I had long left the Publix there, I was passing by and needed food.

The menu had changed drastically since I had last been in. They'd slimmed it down. And what I got from that menu was far better then anything I had bought years back. I've actually been back a few more times since. I can't say its the best asian around, but I can say its better then most. It is consistantly quick with solid portions. I've never been disappointed since I started...

I ordered sesame chicken and it came with fried rice. I’m so glad it comes with fried rice instead of white rice like a lot of other places. The fried rice was amazing and the sesame chicken has an amazing flavor. It was a tiny bit dry but I’ll let that go since the flavor was so good. I also ordered a miso soup on the side. I never order soup when I get Chinese but I decided to try something new. It wasn’t good in my opinion. But I don’t usually order that anyways so I’m not letting that affect my review. I always get sweet and sour chicken, chicken fried rice, or sesame chicken and this is my new go to spot for sesame chicken and fried rice. Excited to try the sweet and sour another day.

I ordered pickup from Asian House (shrimp fried rice and hibachi steak) and, honestly, the food just wasn’t for me. The three stars are all for the clean, inviting atmosphere and the friendly, quick service when I came in to grab my order. I really wanted to enjoy the meal as much as the experience of picking it up, but it just did not match. I read the reviews before I tried this place...maybe I ordered the wrong thing. To me I start off ordering at a new Asian place with shrimp fried rice. If you mess up shrimp fried rice, I typically will not give you a second opportunity. When I ordered I should have just stopped with the shrimp fried rice.
