Yesterday I had a horrific experience thanks to Donatos pizza. It started out as a fairly normal day. I had my breakfast of cereal and yogurt and was feeling completely fine, health-wise. There was a blood drive at my work place and afterwards they were handing out free pizza. I did not donate blood because I have a low hemoglobin count, but I was still able to get some pizza. When the young man gave me my slices of cheese, we both noticed the pizza looked a little "off" so he opened a new box, but the new pizza looked the same: old, brown, and stale. I'm not a huge fan of Donatos, as I've had the pepperoni before and it didn't have enough cheese, was very salty, and I did not like the sauce. However, who am I to turn down free pizza? I happily took my slices to eat for my lunch break.
After the first slice I felt a little funny and decided to save the second slice for later. My stomach was turning and I felt kind of disgusting.
A few minutes later all hell broke loose. Luckily I made it to the restroom just in time or else I would have had to quit my job and live my life in shame as a hobbit, avoiding human interaction and speaking only to my cats. I was sicker than I have been in a very long time and spent a good portion of my work day on the toilet. I kept thinking to myself, "this is it. This is how I die. On the toilet. Just like Elvis Presley."
The sickness continued on for quite a while, but by quitting time I was feeling better because all of my innards had come out of my butt and there was nothing left of me but an empty sack of skin and bones. I did not eat for several hours after, but around 9pm I was feeling hungry and ate Wendy's with no problem. So, therefore, I know it was the pizza that did this to me. My one true love, pizza, has betrayed me and I will never be the same.
I will never eat Donatos pizza again, and the only reason I gave a review of one star is because I could not give zero stars.
Damn you, Donatos. Damn you to hell.

Read moreI recently had the unfortunate experience of ordering from Donatos Pizza in Madison, Alabama, and I must say it was by far the worst pizza I've ever had. Not only did they completely disregard my dietary restrictions, but their overall service and quality left much to be desired. I specifically ordered a chicken pizza, clearly informing them about my inability to consume pork. However, to my dismay, they delivered a pepperoni pizza instead. It was evident that they either failed to pay attention to the order or simply didn't care about accommodating their customers' needs. This lack of attention to detail and disregard for dietary preferences is completely unacceptable. Aside from the mix-up with my order, the pizza itself was a complete disappointment. The crust was dry and tasteless, lacking any semblance of freshness. The toppings were sparse and poorly distributed, leaving large patches of just plain dough. The chicken, when I finally found a few sad pieces, was overcooked and rubbery. It was as if they had taken the cheapest, lowest-quality ingredients and thrown them together haphazardly. The overall service experience was equally abysmal. The delivery took an exorbitantly long time, with no communication or explanation for the delay. When I called to inquire about my order, the staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful. It felt as though my concerns were brushed off without any genuine attempt to rectify the situation. Based on this disastrous experience, I strongly advise against dining at Donatos Pizza in Madison, Alabama. The combination of their careless approach to orders, subpar pizza quality, and lackluster customer service make it a place that should be avoided at all costs. Save yourself the disappointment and find a pizza establishment that values its customers and strives for excellence in both taste...
Read moreThis place is by far the best tasting pizza I have tried! The flavor! The light crunch and oven baked crust on the thin crust pizza is soooo good! The cheese is perfect! The tons of little pepperonis on the pizza have sooo much flavor that it tantalizes your taste buds with every bite! We shared a large and it was perfect for us! Of course we stuffed ourselves! We ordered cinnamon bread and took it to go! The place was clean and plenty of tables to be seated at. It wasn't crowded. The atmosphere was good with soft music playing in the background. There is a TV to watch as well. The food came plated very well with disposable plates. The guy we ordered from at the counter brought us our pizza as well as our cinnamon bread. Normally they call you to the counter but he brought ours to us. He was very courteous. I live an hour almost from this place and I will travel every time just to get this pizza! Once you get a taste you will come back every time to this place! The oven baked crust is sensational! I just can't say enough about this place. There isn't enough time or room on this review to give it the review it deserves! Thanks Donatos for a perfect date night again! Update: Just had another great meal here at Donatos! 100 pepperoni pizza with asagio cheese bread!...
