Terrible experience all around. customer service was atrocious. Wait was crazy long. Food was cold and plain. I called in an order to go for a Friday fish fry around 5pm. I was told ten minutes. I got there after 10 minutes. I waited almost ten minutes before I could even get someone’s attention. I told them I had a to go order and paid for my food. Was told it would be about ten minutes. After waiting about 15 minutes I finally was able to get someone’s attention at which point they said oh your order is right here. Sitting in a bag nowhere near any heat source. I informed the staff that it had been sitting there since before I walked in and the server told me it would be ten minutes when I paid the bill. The staff handed me the bag with no concern. The fries were cold and very soggy. The breading on the fish was very soggy and slimy. The jalapeño wontons were cold in the middle. I won’t be returning here for a meal. I think this is more of a place to go for drinks as the staff seemed interested in drinking and having...
Read moreBadger Tavern checks all the boxes for your typical neighborhood bar, but I feel they offer a larger than typical variety of food options. We came here for the first time recently and enjoyed everything we ordered. My patty melt was hot and delicious, and this was also the case for my wife’s shrimp platter. We both also really enjoyed their cheese curds which tasted very fresh. You get a lot for your money here which is a big plus, and they offer fish fry 7 days a week!
Atmosphere is lively, staff were prompt and friendly, and despite its small appearance from the outside, there’s actually a good bit of seating inside. It was packed when we were there for an early Friday dinner, but we only had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. There is a small parking lot attached to the tavern, but be prepared to park on the street when they’re at full capacity. Overall an excellent place to get some tasty...
Read moreThe Badger Tavern is a surprise find right at the top of the Seminole Highway offramp from the Beltline. The restaurant in in what was once a house and is right on the corner so it's visible from the intersection.
Every time I've been in there it has been crowded with locals. The service is good, fast, and friendly, and the food is good, so it's no surprise.
One time I went there for lunch and they were closed because the entire staff went to a Brewers game. I find that very awesome.
When I did finally eat there, I had a cheeseburger with fries. The fries were fresh, which is very important. The burger was correctly cooked. The meat had decent flavor. The cheese was good quality.
If you're heading west on the Beltline and you're hungry, take the Seminole Highway exit and check out the...
