Crowe's Open Air Bar-B-Que & Catering — Restaurant in Madison

This place doesn’t look like much but they sure do have darn good BBQ and sides! I ordered at the front window and a very nice lady helped me with my order. She was very informative about all the selections. I ordered a chopped pork plate with sides of Brunswick stew and Mac’N cheese. Inside the place was clean and comfortable. Decorations were of a typical BBQ place. My plate came out in short time and I was given two types of vinegar BBQ sauce (one spicy and one sweet). The pulled pork stood on its own and did not need BBQ sauce. The plate came with two slices of bread enough to make 2 half sandwiches with plenty leftover chopped pork afterwards. I mixed the sauce to my liking and dipped my sandwich after each bite. The sides you could tell were in-house made from scratch and had the flavors to prove it. Everything I ate and tasted was excellent! All the staff were friendly and you could tell they enjoyed making quality food. I even got a tour of the smoking pits in the back. The town of Madison has been selected by travel magazines as one of the best villages in the world. The Ante-bellum homes and specialty shopping make it a favorite of many. None of those experienced reviewers seems to have visited Crowe's Bar-B-Que. Had they done that, Madison would be far more written up.

Crowes is what Bar-B-Que is all about. They serve plates, sandwiches, and ribs. All are served in the plainest structure you have likely visited. But working folks, and hunters, fishermen, contractors, and other trades go twenty miles out of their way to eat at Crowes. It is a family operation, and they will treat you with gracious hospitality. The food is outstanding, and the value is great.

Crowe's catered for an association luncheon at Lake Oconee. The catering menu was easy to order from and positive suggestions were made based on our needs. The food was delivered hot and in a promptly time. They set everything up ready to be served to the guests. We had pulled pork, pulled chicken, slaw, stew and mac-n-cheese along with bread and sauce. Every bit of the food was delicious! Our guests were very complimentary of the food. Several came back for seconds! We had an ample amount of food and everything was most delicious.
