8/17/24 I went to this Westside Dunkin Doughnuts in Madison WI to get some Boston Cream Doughnuts around 11:00 am Saturday Morning and they had none! All this location had behind a small glass window cabinet was Munchkins Doughnuts, which I did not want. The staff was just standing around cracking jokes and talking and not making more doughnuts! I found this highly unprofessional and very irresponsible behaviour! The Gentleman who was servicing me was friendly and polite but was not able to help me because there was no Boston Cream Doughnuts or any other regular flavored Doughnuts to buy. So I wished him a good day and left feeling very disappointed that I couldn't buy the Boston Cream Doughnuts that I so desired to want to buy for my disabled friend.
The store had a major reconstruction job inside since the last time I had visited this location earlier this year 2024. I would say this new inside look feels very unwelcoming for people like myself that once enjoyed shopping for a large variety of Doughnuts, but now the selection has become limited and very small, which is unhelpful to anyone wanting to buy Doughnuts!
The new staff for service is very unhelpful in my observation during my visit to this location. Gone is the large back wall display of Doughnuts and instead replaced with a very small front cabinet with a glass window for a very small selection of limited Doughnuts.
(Side thought here) If this is Dunkin Doughnuts new way to sell doughnuts it is a complete failure!
There are no options to buy the doughnuts I want to buy now at this location unless i wake up at 6AM just to get first pick of Doughnuts, which i won't be doing! Because at this location thats what you would have to do since there is no more large wall display of Doughnuts anymore! What a shame that this location use to have a huge variety of Doughnuts but not anymore!
I do not recommend this location if you are wanting a variety of Doughnuts, because this location has only limited quantities like I found out on my visit! At this location I would give them a zero stars rating if I could do that! Sadly I had to give Dunkin Doughnuts one star rating because Google won't let people give zero stars when writing a review.
My Recommendations for this location. Hire more people who want to actually work and train them to do so! Please bring back the large wall display of Doughnuts again. Bring back good customer service again! Please hire people who can speak the American english Language clearly too! 5.Parking lot is small and has limited...
Read moreThe coffee is always inconsistent, you never know what you’re going to get unfortunately. And the service this morning made my experience all the more bitter unfortunately.
This morning, I stopped in and ordered my regular — a medium iced carmel macchiato. I get up to the window and they said I owed $6.11, which seemed high based on what I pay for my usual order. I asked them about it and they said they had a large iced caramel macchiato on the order. When I told them I just wanted a medium, they changed the price I was paying and offered to give me the large drink since it was already made. I declined, as I choose not to get the large drink for two reasons— one reason being is, it’s too much for me, and two being that of the few times I have ordered a large, it just doesn’t quite taste right to me, and I told them that was the reason I didn’t want the large drink this morning). The lady at the register looked at me like I was crazy but ended up just asking me to pull ahead and said they’d remake the drink. I pulled ahead and shortly after they brought out my drink, and no straw. I told them I wasn’t given a straw and I was asked by the employee to pull back in line to get one, which was like 5 cars deep. For a straw that I should have been given in the first place. I thought that was pretty bizarre honestly, that they wouldn’t be able or willing to run back in and get one. And unfortunately the drink did not taste good at all, and therefore it went to waste. I ended up stopping at another coffee shop on my way into work. It’s unfortunate that their drinks are rarely consistent in taste and that their service was very poor today. No matter if I did accidentally order the wrong drink, they didn’t confirm the order/order total until I got to the window. If they would like to avoid this issue in the future, I’d highly recommend making sure to confirm that total while the order is being placed, not after the customer has waited in line and the drink has...
Read moreI just wanted to share my experience here today. I am not a big Dunkin’ Donuts gal, but I came in with my brother who has autism and wanted to come here for lunch. He was having a bad day and was having trouble focusing, keeping his voice to an appropriate level, and deciding what to order. I came in expecting to be harshly judged and getting a lot of eye rolls, huffing, and annoyed glances as I often do. The cashier, who’s name I believe was Jahn (or John, but I am pretty sure it was spelled with an “a”. I apologize if that is wrong), went above and beyond! He was patient, kind, and showed us empathy that is hard to find when my brother is having a rough day. It took us about ten minutes to order, and even with a line building behind us and the drive through getting busy, Jahn continued to show us unwavering kindness. I asked to speak to his manager after receiving our food and let her know (I did not get her name, but she was also awesome!) about how he did so well. Not only did she immediately acknowledge his good work, his whole team cheered, congratulated and high-fived him. Jahn, if you ever see this, just know you have made a huge difference in my day and in a young man who is often not given normal human treatment. I appreciate you and your whole team. I wish I could do more for you than just write a review, however considering that you shared how caring and gentle you are and that this was my first experience EVER at this location, I am so glad we came in. Thank you so much to this team and a big...
