Ice Cream Social — Restaurant in Madison

SOME OF THE BEST TASTING ICE CREAM IN MADISON, I haven’t had ice cream of this quality since I was in culinary school ya it’s that good .

The flavors combinations are amazing and the owner takes their time testing these flavors until they are perfect “chefs kiss” . Sure is the price higher than Dairy Queen ya but have you seen inside of a Dairy Queen? most of the time I can guarantee you they are not practicing safe sanitation of their food or ice cream.

Also you pay the price you do for good quality ingredients and they even give back some of their profits to the community like come on what McDonald’s or Dairy Queen is doing that all their doing is giving you food poisoning let’s be real.

Not only does ice cream social ice cream taste amazing. It’s such a clean and sanitized environment some of the best food establishment I’ve seen and as someone who’s worked in many kitchens I know a clean space .

You know how there’s 5 star restaurants will this is a 5 star ice...

the service was great!! the worker helping us was super friendly and she let us sample flavors! and was very generous with the amount too :)

i decided to get the sweet corn flavor, "Aw, Shucks!" bc it has corn from a local Wisconsin farm, Nehner Family Farms, and i really love supporting local businesses! It was also swirled in with caramel which made the ice cream taste like a mild kettle corn! really yummy ice cream!! had it with a maple waffle cone and it added some molasses flavor and sweetness! great crunch too~

sampled the basil peach flavor and it was a strong contender, wish i lived in WI so i could come back :(

The inside is fairly small, with only a few tables and chairs but luckily we came when there weren't many people so we snagged a seat

Delightful, wonderful shop. Well worth making time to go during their open hours! Fully gluten free shop (ice cream [including those with cake and cookie pieces] and cones and misc takeout products).

The ice cream was SUPERB. Fun and interesting flavors, and in an engaging way rather than the "whoa, weird" way like some ultra specialty shops sometimes do. All very high quality, and all (that I tried, which was most of them!) delicious.

The waffle cone was bomb. It wasn't "good for gluten free," it was just good. Not soft, but broke under my teeth without crumbling/wasn't super brittle or sharp. It didn't stick inside my molars like nearly all gluten free products tend to do. Held up well to the melting ice cream.
