A couple years ago I took the marquis diamond out of my 23 year old wedding band that kept breaking. I had a different jeweler design a ring for this diamond from a picture. I never was thrilled with that ring. So I went to Bill and asked him about my ideas to make a new setting for my original diamond. I also had the idea to put a colored stone in that ring I wasn't thrilled with. When Bill removed my original diamond from my redesigned ring he found the tip broke off the diamond. I was truly disappointed to hear this. To resolve my problem, Bill said he could glue the diamond back together. I asked him to put the glued diamond back into the original setting and repair the band once more for me. Then I would wear it for special occasions. That turned out very nice. You can't even tell something is wrong with that diamond. However, I still wanted a low profile wedding band so I had him design one from another picture of a marquis setting. He gave me a good price on a diamond he had in stock and made me a beautiful new ring that has worked perfectly for me in a laboratory setting. So now I have my original setting that I will wear for special occasions and one that I call "smashproof" for wearing everyday. Bill suggested a pink sapphire in the setting that I was never happy with and now I wear that everyday on my right hand. It is much better with a colored stone. Bill also did some minor repairs on a couple other rings for me that had sentimental value. These turned out very nice as well. I enjoyed working with Bill to come up with a solution to my jewelry design failure and now I have 4 rings that I love instead of regret. Also, I had them in time for my 25th wedding anniversary....

The whole team at William Thomas is so incredible. We sat down with them with more of an idea than any true examples of a perfect ring. They took all of our preferences into account and combined those with the decades of experience and expertise they've got and created something truly unique and magical with us.

Nothing but positives to say about the whole experience, but here are some of the highlights: Speed - we had our diamonds picked out so quickly and from there had a design and mold on quick timelines Transparency - prices on materials were all very reasonable and communicated early on in the process. The estimate on labor was also reasonable and came very close to the final amount of labor necessary to create the product. Overall, the quote was very close to the final price. Experience / expertise - so many times the team knew exactly what to ask to help us get requirements and design nailed down, where we otherwise would've been lost. When it came to seeing the mold, Bill heard our thoughts on it which resulted in some minor tweaks. No mold is ever going to fully encapsulate the magic that the real piece will, which cause some doubt to creep in. However, Bill knows just from seeing someone with their mold whether they are going to love the ring, or whether they need to go back to the drawing board. In our case, he told us to trust the process, and we could not have been happier with the result.

In the end, we ended up with the perfect ring for my fiance, and I could not be happier with my experience from start to finish. Highly recommend them for all of your custom...

Before my fiancé even proposed using my grandmother's diamond he stopped by William Thomas. They were so helpful and kind in explaining things about the ring and what we might want to do with it. When we returned together to get it reset and resized, Jennifer was so patient with our many questions and my anxiety over leaving a precious family heirloom. I knew I wanted something simple and I didn't feel pressured to do anything more extravagant or costly. I felt like they truly wanted me to be thrilled with the ring and that was all that mattered. The final result is beautiful, much better than I could have planned myself and I couldn't be happier. It's obvious that Bill and the team at William Thomas Jewelers knows their craft. We'll be back for repairs of other jewelry and wedding bands!

Updated to say - I ended up getting a beautiful wedding band from William Thomas Jewelers as well! Since I have since moved out of state, they worked with me over the phone/email to design and create the perfect wedding band to go with my engagement ring. It worked out perfectly and I was able to drop in and take it home with me the same day when I arrived to town. Thanks again...
