Einstein Bros. Bagels — Restaurant in Madison

Hands down one of my favorite places to go! Not only are the food and drinks delicious, but the employees at this particular location are wonderful! As someone who is not a morning person I don't know how they do it. They get up way before the sun rises and yet they are so friendly, quick, and appear happy to be at work. I've been to a couple other Coffee & Bagels locations and the experience is just not the same. It isn't long before the staff learns your name. Just the other day Shakela greeted me as soon as I walked in the door!

I guess I should mention the food and drinks as well. The cinnamon sugar bagel with plain cream cheese and the campfire mocha are my go-tos. I haven't found another bagel place that makes anything close to the cinnamon sugar bagel, and even with all the coffee shops in Madison, I haven't found any other place that makes a drink like the campfire mocha. I got a coupon for Einstein bagels for buy one get one, for my birthday, emailed earlier this week. I was so excited to go this morning and get my birthday bagel. Unfortunately, the store was having technical issues this morning, and they told me they could not accept my coupon because they couldn't scan it into the system. I completely understand technical difficulties, and don't blame anybody for that happening, but I was pretty upset that they couldn't accept my coupon. I clearly had it on my phone, they could have taken my phone number and watched me delete the coupon off my phone. But instead they said "well, it's still good for another week, just come back and use it". Nope, not coming back -- it's out of my way and I'm going out of the country for the next week. I frequent the Einstein Bros. Bagels on 2701 University Ave. in Madison before and after my shift at my workplace nearby and everytime I come I am I astounded by the level of quality in the fit and finish of the cafe/lounge area. The crown jewel of this location is the beautiful electric fireplace finished in an ash wood veneer rising through the ceiling. I am partial to the arm chairs closest to the fireplace and enjoy the warmth ruminating from the fireplace after a long commute/shift. The chairs are extremely comfortable and the environment is welcoming and cozy. I have many coffee/bagel shop options here in Madison however none of them offer such an atmosphere as pleasing as this.
